Welcome to 2009.
Hopefully all companies will use some common sense and push more online billing.
It's not common sense to use online billing if:
1. You need the bills as a record for tax purposes
2. You need the bills to claim expenses from your employer on your own personal mobile phoneI'm not cynical I'm realistic
(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)0 -

As said before though, online billing simply means they will let you download it as a pdf. This means you don't have to store the physical paper copies, just find them in a folder on your hard drive and print off as / when necessary.0 -
o2 give me double sms messages for using their online service
(online service compared to the High Street)
All the old bills are stored on their server so can be looked at later if I were to find the inclination to do so0 -
But lets not forget it should be our chioce to stop paper bills.
I did sent a text "PAPER" to number 20802 and got a text back saying there is a problem so please visit the o2 website.0 -

As far as I know, it is not possible to get a pdf of your bill like many banks provide, you are in fact only ableto print out the front page from the o2 control panel. Printing out actual call list t split fo expenses claims and the like is a bit of a 'mare, involving spreadsheets. At least it was 6 months ago when Iast tried, and the CS team were useless when I explained I needed to print something itemised for expenses.0

A sensible person backs up their data and doesn't keep valuable / important downloaded documents in a single place. There are several online backup sites eg gmail or you could use a USB drive or external HD.0 -

Or I could just file all my paper documents in my fireproof filing cabinet as I do now.;)
I do back up my data.
Also if I kept all my invoices online I would have to also keep a record of what I needed to find should I have an investigation.0 -

Then you go back to the website and save the bill pdfs again.
Or use your backup?0 -

I am simply pointing out that I prefer paper billing. I am not completely stupid, I know how to use paperless billing, I just don't want to.0
