Good luck on 3rd July. You sound like you have a great team and an A1 attitude - we are all thinking of you...........

As a balance , it's great to have something exciting to look forward to - have a fab time at the motoGP - who's your money on?!

Maybe Dani Pedrosa or Casey Stoner. I usually cheer on Loris Capirossi and Sete Gibernau but after this Sunday I think they will both be out for a while.

Also Iv'e told my surgeon I have to be ok by mid August as we've got BTCC tickets :D

Hi Shelly, sorry to hear you had a bad day yesterday, I really admire you, you are so strong, and your bound to have days like this. Your husband is amazing too, its such a help to have someone that you can share this with, and he sounds like he's coping so well too, a very strong person. I agree with the crying in the shower, I've done this a few times, no one can see you, and you can wash it all away, it does you the power of good. Also, if anyone does catch you, you got some shampoo in your eye didnt you???
Any way, its good that your keeping us updated on how things are going, it shows how determined you are that this isnt gonna get you down, keep positive, and good luck on 3rd july, will be sending lots of posotive thoughts your way.
    Take care

hi Shelly, sorry to hear that you've had a 'bad day' (hows that for an understatement?) but I hope this morning you're feeling a bit more....positive. I don't really know what word to use - ' feeling better ' seems to trivialise things a bit, which I would imagine is the last thing you'd want.

I'm sorry I don't have anything constructive to add, but I've been following your thread and just wanted to echo everyone elses best wishes, your refusal to let this drag you down has been inspiring to me (I know only too well that sometimes I can be one of those people who thinks they have it so much harder than everyone else, when clearly I have not).

But how inconsiderate of all those MotoGP riders to get themselves injured when you were looking forward to seeing them?!;) I couldn't believe that crash, I was convinced that guy was dead.....those guys are made of stern stuff!

    hi shelly *HUGS*

nothing really to say, just wanted to send the hugs! i've been at CIN2 a few times, i know it's nowhere near serious but even then i got a bit scared. and i was terrified before an op 2 years ago, wondered if i would wake up. it was worth it because it restored my fertility and now i have bouncing baby roo, but i was scared at the time, especially because i had put some weight on. nothing like your op, but it might be some comfort to know that people get the collywobbles before minor ops let alone proper ones, so you're not the only one :rotfl:

Thanks all, very much. I do feel much more myself today.

I tend not to worry about things I have no control over but yesterday was just "one of them days". I'm sure there will be a few more days like that before we are done. Hey ho.....life has to go on.....housework is calling me but it will still be there tomorrow :D

Hi everyone, well here we are, the big day, not looking forward to the surgery at all. I'm a bit nervous but not as bad as I expected. I'm sure that will get worse once I get there :o We are leaving at about 10.30am as I don't have to be there till 12.00 noon.

Thanks to all again who posted on this thread. On my bad days I've read and read it to perk me up. It worked a treat ;)

Thanks again all and see you in a few days.
