I just managed to blow up the lights for the tree, i did check them before putting them on the tree and they were fine just a few gone. Sorted the tree to stick in the corner, turned on lights and there was a few missing from the front so took one out from the side and all the lights went off. Oppppppppppppps Will check in the morning and if they don't work then i'll have to get some more.:o
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.

Soappie Well done to your DD......in my previous life.......you never get over that "Oh my god"...feeling, think it's only human nature......adrenaline & training kicked in for me......so I think she did incredibly well.

    Thanks LL xxx
loads of coping vibes and 'you did the right thing' to soappies DD

    Thanks Carlsbgl...

If she hadn't done anything then maybe when the ambulance arrived they might not have been able to take him away alive. ... Although I do not know your DD I am very proud of what she managed to do.

Thanks to you too ajmoney xx

She's gone out now with her mates. Which is good. She think's this particular evening's do has been called, out of the blue, by one of her friends who may just be announcing her engagement. DD did offer to do a bet with me on the reason but I refused because I don't know that particular friend that well!

I will save all your kind words somewhere safe and if I find she's having issues I shall show them to her (but then my cover will be blown - she doesn't know I post here!)

Once again - thank you all for your kind words.

hello, just popping on to say goodnight LOL
Totally whacked, spent all day doing party planning and random cleaning.
I have made the most gorgeous (if I do say so myself) cake for DD1 for tomorrow.
It was supposed to be a round Victoria sandwich sponge cake thing and I was going to put HSM things on it, but the middle of one of the rounds didnt cook and it fell out:mad:
So we decided to stick the one with the hole on top anyway and make it look like a round box of chocolates.
So it has a round hole in it, its all covered inwhite royal icing and I have laid in triangles of red icing sort of sticking out to make it look like tissue paper coming out of the hole and have plonked in about 30 Hanna Montana mini chocolates that are shaped like lipstick and hairbrushes and perfume. So it looks kinda like an exploding box of chocolates. Mum and DH couldnt believe that I've made it and not bought it :D:D:D

Also its the first time I have managed to make the cake when NONE of the children were asleep :T:T
Mum was in London all day so we have only seen each other since 9pm really so not annoying each other too much yet LOL

soappie - don't tell her where you post... just say that you've been talking to friends and these are the comments they made - and maybe that some of them emailed so you saved them into word (which is why there are no names or contact details). She won't think you've made them up, as the comments all sound like the people who made them - very different, and not like you!

Well done on the cake improvisation Jill :D

But my oooohhh was I forgot with all the troubles to tell you that my wonderful DS is HOME! For 10 days!!!!! And the best bit is his commanding officer has changed Ds's shift so that HE IS HOME FOR CHRISTMAS rather than the 28th!!!!! Am sooooo happy, we were having christmas this weekend for him till he came home yesterday and said. Finished his shift wednesday night, drove from Munchengladbach to West Yorkshire on Red Bull, showered and changed at his dad's and was at my work at 9.10 am yesterday to tell me.

He hopefully will talk some sense into DD2 whilst he's here; she sometimes listens to him more than the rest of us. She is volatile at the best of times but being pregnant she is a MONSTER and we are walking round on eggshells. Though she's been lovely since I got in and even hugged and kissed me for no apparant reason - does the heart good for sure xx
carlsberg - thats great news after all the troubles

Dusty the MP done a letter out for the CSA so payment should be suspended until after christmas, we'll still have to pay for a DNA test but the MP is hoping it could be done at a discount price..

I am shocked that you have to pay vanilla, let them pay to prove it
kazm for DH what about one of those experince of a lifetime gifts - like off road driving/ hot air balloon flight/ glider flight/ white water rafting? Does he have a good chair at the pc - what about one of these high back leather comfy jobs? watch/ camera/ new phone/ massage/ jacket/ magazine subscription???
    toots xx
Oh toots you're a star, such lovely ideas, but I think he's done all the adrenaline things over the years and to start again now would probably bump him off :rotfl:. He's been a traffic cop, worked on the rigs, had HGV, PSV and pilots licences, and currently has his bike one oo - I cant actually think of anything he hasnt done or driven (oh yes I can, a fire truck but I dont think they do fire service activity days for pensioners :rotfl:) Watches the only one he wants is a Rolex , doesnt use a camera as he has a new phone with a megapixel camera but am thinking of a new leather jacket now you suggest ;), will work on that. x Glad you got your bedroom all sorted.

Greenbee - thanks I managed to prise the zip apart then unpicked the other end, eventually rethreaded the zipper back on and have now sewn up both ends so it cant come off again.
    rosepink - enjoy the weekend
toots - I got all the questions right :T
pigpen - NO! what a nightmare, hope DD doesnt suffer with the rash. Good news for your friend.
LadyLib - I had 28 names plus me on my list
rach - pleased the tests were negative
jill - cake sounds fab - pics please :D

Thats it for now, am going to find list and update

soappie ((whopper hugs)) for your DD & a large well done. I will be realistic, the memories will not go but will fade. I remember quite accurately most times I have helped seriously ill/injured people but they are not at the front of my mind all the time. If I didn't remember I wouldn't be better each time at dealing with it. Maybe getting information for her which shows she did the right thing? IMO what Dusty said is a great idea, but unsure who/how it should be provided as so mant agencies do first aid training.
pigpen, I just asked my friend who is a therapist & she said no they aren't offered, so might be worth warning her so she can have immunity checked. Hope Moomin doesn't feel too poorly with it bless her x Fab news with the leukaemia, evil illness it is
Triker I am the same, will be in debt again with the suite & I have TV on pay later too, with you on the need to deal with it
rach pleased it is not coeliac. Well done puttting yourself first x
toots hope you enjoy seeing your Mother, coping vibes for the long journey
carlsberggal great news your DS being home
LL I am hoping to get my cards over the weekend & post Monday
zoe hope you are better soon
MissH awww that looks like a baby hermans with giant land snail, bless so cute

Picked myself up, dusted some of myself off after a huge emotional breakdown on Thursday :o, been a long time since thats happened, large talk with DP who I think realises better now the real situation, he thought cheaper rent = ok for anything but we've spent a fortune on furniture, paint, carpets etc but I want to get the house as we want it. We've agreed not to do Germeny next year, I just can't afford it so I need to tell our friends - was going to cost us over £1000 more than them because of DP being self employed & dog sitter fees. We've decided that anything not sorted by 18th Dec goes in the garage so we can enjoy Christmas as best we can. I am working on finding less expensive gifts, I have a paypal account I can use & somewhere DP has a credit card I can use. Being as strict as I can be on food/cleaning spends, buying literally what we need when we need it which will help reduce stocks before Xmas shop too.

DS2 is at the party tomorrow, the present hasn't arrivd & getting poo excuses from ebayer so I will have to sort something else. When it's not cheap & they state oh we shipped it weeks ago we will send you another but keep the original if it arrives.....hmmm.....no you forgot to ****ing post it. DS1 was at CAMHS today, his psych is pleased with him but agreed she needs to monitor his integration (so pleased, takes a responsibility off me & he trusts her) We have a new prescription for nightime meds as he's back to 0-3 hours a night (he is still up now) but got to wait for pharmacy to get it in.

Going to start the final action plan tomorrow, financial to get us to January then 2010 and a 'get this place sorted' list which I will break into chunks. I need to as next week is appointments, meetings & pantos non stop. Must go get DS1 to bed, even if that is my bed awake. You can tell when I have given up on getting him to bed lol

    ((hugs)) to you all x x x
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb
