I tried to order another one over the phone, but the price has gone up to £99, as their new catalogue has just come out

empire are renound for not knowing what you are talking about!! I ordered a pr of trainers when they had the£20 code, had the confirmation email, the one advising the date they would be sent, but nothing came. I contacted them and they had no knowledge of the order. I even emailed them the mails and said the coding on the bottom most give them some info to go by, but still nothing and they wouldn't honour the order if I put it through again either.

Received my 2 Vax today, so they took 7 days from order to delivery. The box they came in was huge, at least double the size what I'd been expecting.:o

Anyway have excitedly put together the upright & tried it out on my living room rug. It's a tad noisier than my dyson, but I'm amazed at the cat hair & fluff that it vaccumed up - all stuff that the dyson obviously hadn't managed to do. It's so much lighter than the dyson-sheer bliss. :j Housework will be much less of a chore in future.

Haven't opened or unpacked the cylinder yet as I'm just keeping that as a spare.

This has been a fab purchase so many thank to OP.

to follow up on this, i emailed them just after i ordered last week and only got a reply today.

the goods have been dispatched and i havent even payed for them yet :rolleyes:

they said in the email, i can refuse delivery if i didnt want it or can pay using the "my account" section of the site lol, they still havent sent me my customer number, so have emailed them back asking for my number so i can log on to pay for it.

anyone ever had a customer number from them???

No, even afer receiving my 2 Vax today I still haven't received a customer number. There was no invoice or such in the box. Very strange.

They are obviously not in any hurry to be paid.

I have just got off the phone to them and spoek to a very snotty manager who said thye are out of stock, she said i shouldnt have that code anyway and they are not getting anymore in stock, so i asked why they wrere now £99 now (she had mentioned this previously) and she said i never said we had any! I am ring ing tomorrow and going to kick off this is so annoying!

Mine arrived today. I already have a non-Vax cyclonic cylinder cleaner but when I ran the upright over the dining room and sitting room carpets the amount of dirt and fluff that the machine picked up was amazing. What a bargain!

Got mine yesterday. An invoice with customer number, catalogue and bizarrely a free black and white TV arrived today! However the invoice is for £00.00 and to my recollection I haven't paid anything. We'll see what happens.
