You Pay Peanuts you get monkeys.

People who work in McDonald's aren't aspiring chefs and therefore don't care about their work. And this is a result of that.

Thats rubbish. Maybe not everyone who works in Mac D's but i have 3 friends who started out there when at college and got brought through the whole management training programme and now one runs his own restaurant and the others are managers of supermarkets.

Mac D's is supposed to have one of the best management training programmes and has loads of people joining and proving their worth because of it.

you cant tar everyone with the same brush.

Why buy anything from McDonald's its rip off a burger and chips don't take that long to cook yourself and it would have been cheaper.

They have more self-respect than the unemployed who refuse to take such positions - fact.

If you dont like the service/ product, then eat elsewhere. They are working and contributing to society unlike the unemployed.

I do eat elsewhere - final straw moment was some six months ago, and I now don't eat there. Job done, happy to withdraw my custom.

On a related note, though, perhaps people who clearly couldn't give two sh*ts about customer service should have a think about their future working in an industry that requires it.......

Oh dear oh dear. It does seem whenever anyone sees a topic about something they don't like they have to come along and berate everyone who DOES like it. So you don't like McDonalds, who cares.

For the record I have only ever had good experiences at McDonalds, whilst posh, expensive shop staff have had awful manners. Yes, it's not the most well paid job, but we forget that not everyone is obsessed with money. Someone has to do these jobs and if they seem disinterested, it's probably because of all the people who insult their job and ruin their morale.

Also I don't understand why the OP would be lying about getting a mouldy burger. Could it possibly be because every person who has a complaint gets ripped apart for being a liar out to get compensation??

i dont go into mcdonalds expecting good customer service.

In fact I hardly go in at all except for the ice creams but thats another matter.

I go in because the food is cheap and I can get it within 5 minutes most of the time.

OP - what response did EH make? Have you contacted McD's customer services? Do you still have the burger?
