Guys, who (other than McDonalds) can I complain to about mouldy food?

This is my photo of a burger sold to me in McDonalds (Surbiton branch) earlier today:

as you can see the bottom half is saturated with green mould.

Thanks in advance.

Not sure that you can use their logo without their consent.

Erm, did you complain in McDonalds? What did they offer? At least give them a chance to rectify the issue before kicking off (although admitadly it does look pretty shocking to serve that).

did you take it back & show them?
did you give them the opportunity to do something about it?

if you didnt, how can you now 'prove' to EH that it was in fact in that McDonalds, & they had served it to you?

The manager gave me a refund in store. He didn't seem one bit surprised upon seeing the mouldy burger. He said nothing apart from when he gave me the money back he muttered "sorry about that".

A small amount of compensation, for the trouble of me having to return to the branch then get home again (30mins) would have been nice.

  • This thread stinks of an agenda.

Did you take the burger back to the restaurant before you carefully took a pic and spent time shopping it to add the knock-off logo?

Enviromental health would be able to go to the store and check how things are being stored etc to make sure it doesnt happen again

Agenda lol. I'm trying to prevent other people in Surbiton from possibly getting ill, incase they are being served the same mouldy food as I was. Are you suggesting my claim would be more "legit" if I did not take a photo of the item in question? I removed the logo I added to the pic, I realise its a bit rude, but what can I say, I was furious at almost putting a mouldy burger into my mouth, and I wanted everyone who saw the pic to know where it came from. Can you try to understand that instead of acusing me of having an agenda?

If all is as you say, cut the burger in half send one half to McDonalds head office the other to your local environmental health department with covering letters to each so that McDonalds know you are taking this course of action.
A mouldy burger is one thing but I don't even think Fleming used that much culture in his studies.

The mould is probably the only wholesome thing about that burger
