Quite hard to ignore a full page spread of shaven fanny. Well, It is for me anyway.

I tried my hand at erotica earlier on in the year. It all seemed pretty formulatic and I was convinced it would be easy money.

Have you an idea how hard it is to type the word cn*t when it isn't an insult?

We have lights out front in a hawthorn tree, and some more in a bay and a contorted hazel, but they are 'normal.' From where I'm sitting the lights in the hawthorn make a perfect outline of a frog. OK, a frog with a tail, but unmistakably a frog.

Once you see something in a particular way, that's it, isnt it? It's like one of those psychological tests.

I hate that. down the road there is a gap in the hedge that looks like someone hiding in it. I know its there and I still shudder. :)

Thought it was time for an update.

    No snow here.

    Anyone anywhere else?

I'm currently running a lowish temperature, just at the wrong time, as I have stacks of marking hitting my inbox tomorrow (well, probably midnight tonight, but I won't be checking).

DD1 has the same bug but far worse than me, so I seem to spend all day running up and downstairs, fetching things like straws, juice, food she won't actually eat...

    How's everyone else?

    No snow here..bleeding cold though.

I'm just getting to the end of a very long day where I have received some very good news and some not so good news regarding my eldest.

Good news - His heart appears to be ok for the moment but he is going to needed to be checked regularly due to his possible diagnosis and the risk of aortic root enlargement but it was a huge relief to be told there are no leaky valves which is what was feared.

Not so good news - His physio is feeling a little uncomfortable and out of her depth with his joints and is referring him to an ortho paediatrician, so yet another specialist to add to the list and even more hospital visits.

So not too bad a day today, just blooming shattered!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

    Ah Christmas tree...

Mine isn't up yet, nor are there any decorations...I didn't put them up last year either and they only went up the year before because I went out on the Mencap Christmas dinner and my parents, whilst babysitting, put them all up for me.

It's not been the same since hubby went...it's no longer a special time and it feels wrong to have all these bright cheerful things in the house when I feel so bereft inside, it just depresses me more and reminds me of all the lovely family Christmases past.

Sue, that's great news regarding DS1. You must be relieved that there's no immediate danger. Part of the not knowing is gone anyway, and at least the physio is going higher, not doing the strong & silent routine. DW is there with hers ATM, so we do the hospital run once a week and are none the wiser; it's like some peculiar religious ritual.

As for two parents together at Christmas; there will be kids who will wish theirs separate in a week or so, when enforced togetherness becomes too much, as it does for many.

Big hug Sue - good thing it's virtual, as I'd only make you ill.

It is snowing here now = DS is very excited, DD1 is v miserable, as she missed being in her school play that they've been practicing for weeks, because of being off sick, and as she still feels lousy and too ill too enjoy the snow. :(

You lucky people. London in settled snow, is beautiful and I love the hush.

Even people moaning about it can't get me down!

    BTW: where is inspector Monkfish?

No snow here in the middle of Devon, as I head off to get some more logs in, before the rather sudden dusk falling half-way through the afternoon catches me out.

We had some weak sun and blue sky earlier, but it's now what my kids used to call 'drob.' - a sort of mixture of damp, drab, drizzly and, well.... drob!:(
