If you manage it ok, then it means you have a overbudgeted a bit, so you should be able to pay bigger overpaments in the future, and clear the card quicker
On the other hand, if you do have to spend on the credit card to get through this month, it means you've got your budget spot on, and should be proud of yourself
Either way, you win:D
Thanks S. Worth, that's good way of looking at things!0 -

Hi,
Another end of and eBay week and another £125 paid towards the target. I doubt that there will be too much more activity this month but I am happy that I am off to a good start.
Well done everyone who has managed to pay whatever amount off this month, Jan is always the hardest :T

i made a £70 op to DH's cc today. i've signed up to the 1 debt vs 100 days challenge and the balance of the cc is my target to clear. well it's day 3 (day 4 now i suppose as we're past midnight) and i hadn't made a payment so i checked my bank to see what i could afford to pay. now that's sad.....but it is an extra £70 off the balance so maybe not THAT sadGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000

GRRRRR! First Direct have just dipped into our joint account to the tune of £365 to pay off my husband's sole account overdraft. I'm LIVID! We've just paid off our joint overdraft and are living properly within our means; this is going to tip us back into overdraft land. And as it happens we were in the process of getting money together to pay off his overdraft this month, buit that now has to go towards an unexpected car breakdown. I had no idea that they could dip into a joint account to pay off one of the party's sole accounts. I know that can do it between sole accounts.
IT really angers me as if they had looked at our banking history they would have seen that in November we paid £1,000 and cleared our joint account overdraft, in December we paid £1,700 and cleared my sole account overdraft, so they can see we are actively reducing our overdrafts. We just want to do it in our own timescale so we can budget properly! Sods.
So no more payments from me for a while0
