    Hi there hypno and everyone,

I could have sworn that I was done for this challenge. Can't see my name on the first post. Can you add me to the list Hypno - thanks. £20,000.

Payment so far for January are £643.28.

Hypno the last challenge ran to 1 December 2009. Will it be the same this one. Apologies if this has already been answered.

    Cheers

Everyone is doing great..keep it up xx

Don't worry I'm not on the list yet either.
  • Right I have finally braved the icy path to the office so that I could get online to my Halifax account which I dont use that often so can never remember the user name without looking it up also updated my snowballs with the CC payments that have been made.

All this mean that I have reduced my total debt by another £887.55 making a total so far of £1373.07 4.5769% of the target which I am quite pleased with and it means my total debt is in the 250s rather than 260s it all helps :D

Not long now until i can pay something towards the debts, should be in my bank account tomorrow, so i will take it off of barclaycard. I will have another payday next friday aswell, so that will go straight off barclaycard also.

It doesn't matter that it's the start of a new year, that's just a reference we put on it, if any of us does the same thing later in the year, the effect is the same, time of year makes no difference, so don't see it as a 'bad start' this is a long term thing! The fact is you know what you've done and where your problems are, and it's only going to improve from here:D

Of course you are making perfect sense thanks for the reality check

Then I went to a small town with a few jewellers. I did have to haggle (I'm not used to it), but they wanted the gold and I wanted the money :)

The jewellers were used to people popping in, lots have signs saying they're buying gold, so it wasn't embarassing at all.

It was easier than posting it off, and you're less tempted to accept a lower figure as you can just walk away, rather than wondering if it will come back OK from one of the postal ones.

I combined it with a Christmas shopping trip, so it didn't waste time/money either if I didn't sell.

Hope you do well if you decide to sell.

I have an old ring which I was considering selling. Do you think jewellers are interested in small rings? If I could use it to pay a bit off my debt that would be good.
