Ooooh that's great news Lulu! I'm so pleased for you!
I knew nothing about Pat, but not watched it since I was about 5!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Aww Lulu that's great - really pleased for you! You sound so happy and positive, it's great to hear!
Hmm, ok so I've spent £43.50 on clothes in tha past 25 hours, I think that can count as my wee clothing budget for Italy!!I honestly only went in for the £5 t-shirt I mentioned yesterday but they had a big sale on and I ened up picking up a cardie for £7 as well. It's one I had my eye on even at full price though so that's ok

Only a couple of days till we get the keys for the new flat, hopefully all references etc are sorted now, OH is ringing later today. Exciting!0 -

Hey Tete, what do you think of these boots? They are Regatta, from Go Outdoors and were £60 down to £19.99!! Thought they looked ok for my first pair, cos you maybe right in that I might give it up when I realise how unfit I am. Would love a better pair but might start off with these.
I can empathise with the bike thing, I bought one 2 years ago (only £105 so not expensive at all) and have only managed to use it a few times, the weather had a lot to do with it (also need a bike carrier for my car)!

I did the same thing! My bike is in my parent's garage and has been for 2 years! I was planning on going out on it last year but OH couldn't ride because of his knee so we may actually take it out this summer! I've got loads of pink accessories to go with it too including a helmet with pink flowers all over!
Blegh, the perfume is back in my office. I seem to have developed some kind of gag reflex now that is associated with that smell which is not good as I'm now feeling very queasy! _pale_Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Hey Swinstie, been having a look on the Go Outdoors website and they look grand for your first pair, and of all the sub-£50 boots on there Regatta's the brand I'd go for over Hi-Gear or Hi-Tec. The only thing I would say though is if you can find something for a similar price which has a rubber toecap that would be better as you might find those ones scuff quite easily. This is what I mean (but I'd still go for the Regattas over these):
These are my ones:
Sorry pic is massive!
I wasn't implying that you're unfit! Just that it's probably prudent not to buy a load of expensive gear and then realise you don't like it as much as you thought. In hindsight I look back a bit at the cheap bits I bought and then sold on ebay once I'd got my good stuff and that might seem like a waste of money but I'm glad I did it that way. It also helps you realise what you want out of your equipment - things keep falling out of your pockets for instance so you can decide when you get your good coat, you want zipped pockets!
Birdie I have this image of you in my head - you know the episode of Friends where Ross buys Phoebe a bike?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
LOL, that's not too far from the truth! I don't have streamers on my handlebars though- yet! I'm pretty shakey on it too, I don't like roads because every time a car passes me I panic and get all wibbly!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Birdie there's nothing that makes me want to get on a bike whatsoever, the thought of cars whizzing past and the horrible saddles! Eek!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0
