I've read The Shadow of the Wind, as far as I can remember it was good!
I love FB Scrabble but I lose quite a lot, or play with bad losers who end the game early! I need more practice I think! I used to have it on my old phone and I played it all the time, I was addicted!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
I have it on the DS and was very addicted, I got to know all the little tricks like putting one tile down in a strategic place to form three new words on a triple word score, and all the little obscure words like xi and stuffWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0

XI is a killer! I haven't played FB scrabble for ages, but now I *really* want to - another distraction is the last thing I need! I did a pub quiz last night and we were 'that annoying team' who wanted to contest loads of the answers - they said that Brad Pitt had been married twice, nuh-uh! We thought it was just once and I woke up really early this morning thinking about it and had to google it to make sure we were right. And we were... :rotfl:
Tete, I think you'd like Shadow of the Wind - it's all mysterious books and Barcelona - what's not to like?!LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
Aha, sounds good!
I thought he'd married Angelina? Hmm.... Haven't done a pub quiz in ages, but now when you see them everyone's on their mobiles, it takes the fun out of it. Even my dad's at it, I'll get the occasional garbled text saying 'Portman Pat son ?' or something (Julian apparently, he never had a son in my day, just a cat).Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Apparently Brad and Ange are definitely not married, and pledged only get married when everyone in America is legally able to do so!
It's the first quiz I've done in ages and it seemed quite sporting - there was lots of clapping, we didn't see anyone on phones and the winners of each round got sweeties!
really, Julian?LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
*Big rolly eyes* trust them to have to have some political/humanitarian reasoning for it, pah!
Last pub quiz we did was at the work Christmas party and when we won the techie team booed us! Just cos you work with computers doesn't automatically make you clever you know! Hmph!
Julian, yeah apparently so. Sounds a bit odd when you consider his surnam is Clifton ... Julian Clifton....Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
The last few pub quizzes I've been to have been rubbish, starting too late and going on for far too long! They used to do them in our village pub and there was an old lady who was a walking library of knowledge, we knew we'd lost as soon as she walked in!
Did you see that Derren Brown programme on a while back where he taught a chap to speed read and sent him to a pub quiz on his own? I think he won too, but can't remember!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
*has never been to a pub quiz*
Pazza has a son?! Does that mean there's a Mrs.Postman Pat now? .. Julian Clifton though, seriously?!0 -
They're fab Cinny, even with all the cheaters and booers!
Mrs Pat is called Sara, nothing like that in my day! Don't suppose anyone's ever seen Boro Pat on youtube? Bit of a local craze maybe, it's ruined my memories of it a bit but it is funny.
I'm not doing too well on point one of my list today BTW...Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

Promise to return all rates on Dooyoo and to get back into the swing of things, but not too fussed at the mo, as i am knackered! Had the kids this whole time, they've gone home now but are coming back tomorrow and we have been very busy little bees.
Feeling positive at the moment!
ETA: Knew Postie Pat had a son, but had no idea of his surname!0
