I'm just looking at that fabric in more detail - I love it! Love the potato in the top hat! :D Would it be a silly fabric for a dress??

Is that what she said? :D Fab!

Yep, she was a warm-hearted pub landlady who loved a good holiday! She used to pick us up from school in her porsche, wearing leopard print and smoking Silk Cut - a proper character!

I really like the sound of your kitchen!

Aw thanks :o I was thinking more of a Cath Kidston look - sort of modern country - but i LOVE that fabric! Especially the alarmed looking mushroom next to the aubergine :rotfl:

It would be a ridiculous fabric for a dress! How about a skirt...? :rotfl:

That fabric is class! I think it'll make a really cute dress in the right style. Something with a bit of swing in it and a kitschy look! Who would feel fab when they look down to see a potato in a top hat smiling back at them?!

Kitchen plans are sounding great Poddle! I can't wait to have more kitchen and I really want a pantry!

Finished my dress, it's not perfect and was sort of botched together in the end, but I think (hope!) they're small imperfections that only I notice because I've been so close up to it!

    Hi,

I have just caught up with your diary! Sorry to hera you have been feeling down about the house stuff, but something will come along!

The holiday sounds great to take your mind off things. Never mind that it costs money it will relax you and be worth it.

Love the dress, looks like you are getting good at the sewing!

    Have a great holiday.

    Hey Tete,

Just dusting off your diary! How's the house? Glad you decided to buy the lovely plates, I'd probably keep the plain ones for everyday though incase of breakages (as seen on Dinah's thread)!

Hello, was doing away with this diary business a bit to be honest!! Was stressing myself out thinking of things I had to be doing all the time so decided to relax it a bit - feel much better for it! House is lovely thank you - enjoying living together so far and the village is wonderful, feeling very zen :)

Oops, keep threatening to stop my diary too but it's the only thing that keeps me going i.e. keep track of myself and my finances!

Will catch up in Dinah's thread!
