Oooh yeah Sedgefield is nice, we were considering buying there but decided Yarm had nicer shops/restaurants (but is obviously too far south for you two) and is a lot closer to my work. Where are you looking to go on holiday?Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Glad you sound like you're feeling better Tete. Sounds like widening the search area will be really helpful. My OH took ages to find his first place in London, but it was worth it as we stayed there for 5 years. Well done for getting back on the wibbly bums. I have been failing miserably, been really ill the last few days, now I have no scales to weigh myself I have been sinning loads!
Had a bit of a pants week, my presentation bombed at uni on Friday. Not looking forward to presentation on 28 June at the departmental conference. Well done Tink you must be feeling ace - Flower, Wendz I'm excited to hear about your new houses!:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
Ah Lara, sorry to hear you're feeling down, not like you. I can't imagine your presentation really 'bombed'! Feel better soon and don't worry about eating badly as it sounds like you have a lot of other things to be thinking about!
Dinah, not sure about holiday, OH fancies Marrakech but I think it'll be just a tad too hot June/July! I want Croatia but he doesn't want to go somewhere that's run by the !!!!! (is it?), Menorca's a possible and I also fancy a Greek island. W're going to both double check our holidays with work and just see what we can get for when we want to go. Might deplete my MOF a bit like!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Glad to hear that your feeling a bit better about everything at the minute Tete.
Exciting about the holiday, wish we were going away this summer!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -

Aw, sorry to hear you've had a bit of a poo week, Lara. I'm sure it wasn't as bad as you thought either - what's your next presentation on? Is it work or PhD related?
I have 2 weeks of free time now and I am going to enjoy it I tell ya! I have a assive list of things to do and really want to list some stuff on ebay this weeknd (free listing sunday) but all my things are at home home and its not enough time to get everything sorted out
and I've gone over my minutes this month on my phone grr!!
Congrats Tink, enjoy your time off - you deserve a break from your to-do list!Tete_en_l'Air wrote: »The house was pretty awful unfortunately which was a big shame as I'd had high hopes for it. It was really nice inside, nicely decorated etc, but absolutely no outside space whatsoever and very minimal natural light, it was a stable conversion (a brick stable block of course, not like a wooden horsey thing!) and it seems as though the big house next door has converted them into two rentals, but kept the garden at the back as a massive garden for themselves and made sure there are no windows on the backs of the stables looking out over their garden, bit selfish but hey ho! We've totally fallen in love with the village though (Sedgefield) - it's bang on halfway between my work and OH's so don't know why we hadn't thought about it before, so it's widened our search area a bit at least.
That is a shame, but good that you've widened the net and found somewhere you both love. The bright side is that if you had found a rental, you probably wouldn't be planning a summer holiday right now - I hope that is some consolation, and not 'oh gee, thanks for reminding me, Poddle'!
Yay for new pads Wendz and Flower! I like your new sig, Flower - very impressed that you already have an emergency fund (even if it is only £20)

Exciting stuff about the house Flower, when do you officially move in?
Hope you're feeling better about the presentations (past and future!) Lara!
I've been kind of trying on the whole wibbly bums thing... sporadic exercise and even more sporadic healthy eating! I was talking to OH on Sunday about my weight/size and he was asking how much I weigh right now (at which point I didn't know because I didn't realise that he'd replaced the battery in the scales) and was saying, 'You can't be much off 10st, can you? If you get down to 9st6 before we go away you can afford to put a few pounds on whilst we're there' (like it's that easy!) Anyhoo, I weighed myself yesterday morning and I'm 10st10lb! Oh dear, I don't want to tell him that I'm a good half stone heavier than he thinks I am! He'll turn into the diet police if he knew! I really need to shift a bit this month as my wedding dress comes into the shop next month and I want to be about right for trying it on!
I didn't realise that Croatia was Maf.ia run Tete! I'm so jealous of you making holiday plans! And it's good to hear that you've widened your search and found an area you both really like, any luck finding more potential houses?Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

Eek, work was sooo busy yesterday and by the time I'd got in from granny's and had some tea it was quarter to 8, I was not a happy bunny. Good night's sleep last night though so feeling a bit better, and a good singalong to Emmylou Harris in the car this morning to chase the cobwebs

Birdie I know what you mean about the diet police - my OH eats loads but is disciplined most of the time, and is always telling me 'little pickers wear bigger knickers'I felt rotten last night because I hadn't eaten enough all day, and at 10pm I went and had a nutella sandwich and felt much better! I weighed myself this morning (I think I was quite restrained not doing so at all yesterday!) and was 1.75lbs lighter than Monday

There's nothing like a good singalong in the car, is there?! One of my friends just made me a showtunes CD (strictly for use in the car) so I've been singing my heart out with Barbra Streisand and Liza Minnelli - SO camp, SO uncool, but SO fun! I arrive at work in a good mood!
I need to get back on the wibbly bum wagon too. I was so impressed with shredding and starting to feel much fitter, but then stupid work got in the way. I'm not using the festival as an excuse; I literally didn't get home until 11pm every night, so there was no way I was getting up in the morning to exercise before 8am!
Although, now I have no excuse as the festival finished a week ago. Oops. I've been eating quite well, but haven't exercised or weighed myself for a few weeks.
Yay for nutella sandwiches and weight loss Tete!LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380
