It really sounds like he doesn't! I know you've already had the talk, and I know I have no right to tell you what to do, but if this was me and my OH I'd be pushing for another talk. I hope you work it out, you've always sempt so cute together with your walks and baking! If you ever want a kinda-blank face to vent to, you can always PM me. I know I rabbit on a lot but I am a good listener.
But in the mean time, get 50p out your purse and go get a Wispa bar0 -

Motion seconded!
I think living alone can be lonely, but I've heard varying experiences. One friend lives alone and she says she's bored out of her mind because she's a talker and she doesn't like not having anyone to rabbit on to. Another loves it because it she can do everything her way and not have to worry about people doing things the 'wrong way' so I think it depends on how you're wired. It may be nice just for 6 months though, your OH might decide that he likes spending a lot of time there with you and be more proactive about finding a place!
Ooooh and I hate indecisive people who put everything on you then complain when they don't like it! My friend does it all the time, saying 'I really don't mind' when I ask where she wants to eat then gets a strop on because the vegetarian options are rubbish! Grrrr.Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Oh I don't know, I think I'm being harsh on him really and making him out to be awful, I'm just really frustrated with the situation. I'm not seeing him now til Saturday afternoon so hopefully we will both cool down and be able to talk rationally. It's upsetting because this is supposed to be an exciting time and it's not it's just painful at the moment. If I got a £350 pm flat I'd have about £60 a month left after all bills, petrol etc. It's pretty grim isn't it, what if we do break up? You just can't do anything as a single person in this country.Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

I can vouch for loving living alone, BUT I did so for 4 years before I met my OH and now I think it would be nice living with him. On one hand, it's great doing as you please, and it does get lonely but I'm not far from my Mum. It is hard living on your own financially, my mortgage is tiny but with the bills not to mention wasting food as supermarkets don't cater for single people. I'm kind of scared to live with OH as have never lived with any guy before, we're going to have a trial before we buy, just to make sure it's what we want. Renting is a good idea but you already are thinking of that anyway. It will all work out for the best, whatever that may be!0

Okay okay okay, I have calmed down somewhat since this morning
We are not on the verge of splitting up, that was my (very) upset self talking, he'd go mad if he knew I'd even thought it
I hope I don't come across as spoilt and naggy, I really don't feel as though I am, which is why I get so angry when he makes out I am.
We have between us found another couple of possible abodes, so going to call the LAs and see if we can get a viewing in the next couple of days.
Autoglass man has bee and filled my hole with resin (that still sounds rude even though I replaced 'crack' with 'hole'!), he said it's something that's already been repaired and the garage shockingly didn't disclose when I bought him. I'm feeling closer to Grey now that we've been through this together, maybe he is Gillie after allAnyway the man said that I should keep an eye on it, but that it would never shatter into my lap, and it didn't cost anything so that's all good.
I have the night 'off' to do with as I please tonight, and most of the day tomorrow as I'm off work, before going up to Newcastle to my friend's in the evening:
- [STRIKE]Packed lunches all week[/STRIKE] - 3/3, and they were lovely!
- [STRIKE]Check bank statements[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Work out what to buy for friend's birthday and father's day[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Write and post cards[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Cancel Sew Magazine subscription[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Visit Grandma[/STRIKE]
- Phone letting agents - done but need to do again
- Washing
- Finish samples folder
- Sew button back on jacket
- Sew button back on cardie
- 3 reviews
- Transfer 6 to Ciao
- Finish wool cushion
In green are the things I'd like to get done tonight, looks like my reviews will slide once more!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Glad to hear that you've calmed down, sometimes you need a good rant (and maybe a cry...) to put things into perspective! I don't think you sound like a nag, or a b!tch or anything else, I believe that you are a lovely girlfriend who is after a little more commitment after being together for a while, which is totally natural. I hope the viewings go well and you find something that you're both happy with!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0

I got round that by calling it a 'chip'! I had one too which I knew was there when I bought the car, took it to get fixed and the guy said it had already been done - I was mortified cos I had told him it just happened
Glad you are feeling calmer, I always get myself worked up about things, especially if I feel like something isn't going my way and I get irrational thoughts about ending things (my relationship, not myself, just to clarify), I honestly think though that it's best to discuss but not over-discuss IYSWIM, trying to call someone's bluff isn't always the best call incase it back-fires. If you both have the same(ish) goals you will agree to someone that suits you both! Hope the views to the new abodes goes well!0 -
Yes feeling much more zen and we're being nicer to each other too which feels a lot better. Got a viewing booked for a nice-looking place which OH spotted so fingers crossed for that, one of the ads he works with actually did the building inspections on it not long back and says it's lovely, but we'll see... it's right next to a pub which could be both a good and bad thing.
That's exactly what I've just done Swinstie, but he did say he'd fill it again as there was a hollow in it which would collect rain and dirt etc, so I didn't feel too silly.Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Really glad you're calm now. It'll happen, you're just frustrated you can't find a place you can agree on. And you're thinking a bit more of the emotional side of things, wanting to move forward in your relationship, whereas he seems to be thinking more about finding the 'perfect' place for the two of you.
Not to be a downer but think really hard about being near a pub. When I lived in Marske I lived opposite and a few doors up from the middle house pub (opposite the Co-op if you know Marske), the amount of drunken singing, knicked rear wipers and vomit and pee on my car was horrendous. I thought being an affluent village we'd be fine but it was at least once a week we'd have one of these issues.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
