Hope you have a fab time in Lincoln, Tete - it sounds like the place to go! (And yes, more going on than Northampton!)

I'm a big believer in things happening for a reason too, so try not to feel too despondent. When you're feeling rubbish about something it always seems like those things are going super well for other people, doesn't it? But the thing about flats and boyfriends and jobs etc is that you may see lots of duds, but you only need one good one! :D

Hi Zig, welcome back, glad you had good hols! and yay for your lucky day!

Sorry to hear that you're in a funk Cinny, I hate those teary periods. Not had one in a while but it's so crummy when you feel that way! I feel miserable for no reason and keep getting weepy at silly things which gets OH worked up because he thinks it's something he's done then he gets funny with me and tries not to talk to me too much in case I cry on him so then I get even weepier because things aren't going well with OH! Then one day you wake up and the sun's shining again and you're happy as Larry!

Just had a Moral Money discussion in here; we sent a customer a cheque for £450 because he'd returned something to us but the person at head office who sorted the return put the wrong details in so what was sent back was only worth £20 but the paperwork said £450. The customer was good enough to let us know that we'd sent him £430 too much even though all the paperwork backed him up that he was 'allowed' the full £450... would you have admitted to it?! I don't know if I would have...

nice to see you back Zig, have you finished uni for the summer now then? glad you had a good holiday and I'm sure the saving/not spening will get back on track bfore you know it!
I'm going to make a to do list today but it is too depressing thinking about it as there is so much to do!

Just read dippys review on Dooyoo and I never realised the payment system had changed!! grr that's so annoying because most of the things I write in have been downgraded :( and I was well proud of myself for writing 4 last night! think I need a new money making system! Going to look out some things for a carboot sale I think!

I hope so! It's just problems me and OH are having, we're barely seeing each other and I'm getting all stroppy over little things that never normally bother me because I miss him! And he's all kranky with all the shifts he's working and the lack of sleep. Just a pain because it's something we don't have much control over, and it's not like we can just pop over to each others houses because of the distance. We're just stuck in a rut at the moment!

He sounds like a nice chap! :D I think I would admit it, plus I know if I cashed it I would be feeling too guilty to spend the money!

He is a nice chap, he even held the phone over the shredder so I could hear the cheque being chopped up! :rotfl: I might send some biscuits out with the driver to say thanks for being so honest!

Sorry about the rut, been there and it's rubbish! I hated only being able to see my OH on a weekend and if we were busy and only saw a little bit of each other it was horrid! It's not ideal now that we live together because he still works the stupid shifts, but it's certainly better! Can you make some time soon when you're both totally work free for a couple of days so you can spend some time just having fun with each other again?

Hmm, might put that idea across! It's near impossible for him to get time off though, even when we went on holiday last month they kept phoning him to the point he had to turn the phone off. He's been trying to get a couple days off in July to go away with his friends and they straight out said no (he's still trying though, bless!) So I won't hold my breath!

I really hope he managed to get some time off soon, our odd little trips away have been absoloute relationship savers! Sometimes you've just got to get away from 'normal' stuff and enjoy each other's company again to fix the niggles! I always found that we'd fall out if we spoke on the phone a lot too because I'm not very good at reading people's voices if I can't see their face too (one of my delightful quirks!) so I always got cross with him when he was just joking about things then he got cross with me because I just didn't get him!

It burns me! I'm going to take Percy for a long walk this evening though when I get home from work. Fresh air will perk me up!

I've called him though, and he's going to try and get a couple days off at the end of July / start of August. We'll get there, just sempt way tougher than normal these past couple weeks! I'll stop hogging Tetes thread now :D

aww cinny I know how you feel, I'm sort of in that rut at the moment, the boy is working 9-5 2 hours away and I have so much to do but we haven't seen each other since 2.5 weeks ago and can only really see each other at weekends, and we both feel like we can't let opportunities go with our friends (juyst trying to make you feel better because your situation must be better than this (our weekend plans for the next forever)....
saw him 2 weeks ago, then busy, lax festival, moving house, residential trip, he's invited his friends from uni to his, graduation (get to see him for a day :) ), china, china, china, wedding (get to see him but at a wedding of mostly his friends), india, india, india, india. So basically we're scheduling each other in for september! :(
