That sounds like a good plan. What are you planning on using the £7k savings for? You're so good with that, I'd be tempted to just transfer £1000 straight accross into the MOF if I saw all that money in an ISA! Which is why I have no savings....
Well I know, if I have no money I want to spend it, but if I have a little stash saved up I can't bear to touch it! I don't mind using it for a car though, I just don't want to end up frittering it away on shoes and pretty things!
Not really sure what the savings are for to be honest but I want them to be for something (a wedding?? If I'm ever going to have one *ROLL EYES*) - or a house deposit in a few years - something like that.
Poddle, cinema's tonight - found out that our local indie place has a Student Night on a Thurs and it's only £3 per ticket - cheaper than Orange Weds at the normal cinema!
One of the girls I work with does Roller Derby (Middlesbrough Milk Rollers!) - she's really into it but I have to say it looks bit brutal for me! The team went along to the cinema last night handing out cupcakes and flyers but she said all the chavs were just looking at them like they were mental, rolling about proffering cakes at people!
And oh OK then, interest counts as earningsWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Roller Derby sounds really fun but too brutal for me too! I cry if I fall over so I'd be useless! I didn't even know it existed until I saw an episode of Psych where one of the detectives had to go undercover as a Roller Derby-er!
Was Whip It good? I want to see it!
Wouldn't it be lovely if you were to mention to your OH that you have all this saved money for a wedding maybe and it turns out he's been doing the same! Ahhhh... you'd make a beautiful bride, hopefully he'll ask once you move in together!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Hmmm, more likely he'd turn round and say he was going to buy a boat or something
I cry when I fall over too. It hurts!
Isn't it typical, I go to all the effort of backing up all my reviews yesterday and now my memory stick won't 'launch' - I've tried blowing on it but don't know what else to do!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
I've been having a little work-shirk and looking at Roller Derby and it does look like so much fun! Going to watch a bout in 2 weeks - Leeds Roller Dolls vs Birmingham Blitz Dames!
God, if only I was brave enough to go along to join a team, it'd be the perfect exercise!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Apparently its the fastest growing sport in the UK - according to Look North
I love roller skating (hence why my front tooth is fake!) but I'd rather just do it in a pretty way than risk being hurt!

Ha, snap! I'd never have noticed though. I think that was the last time I was on roller skates actually!
Oh you should hear the sorts of things they have to do in training - pick one another up and run around with them and stuff - it'd kill me! They all look so pretty and fab though in their little skirts. I'm sort of tempted but it seems to take up so much of your time, they have to do a lot of fundraising and awareness stuff on the side.
Been to Lloyds, my rate has only gone down to 2.5% which isn't too bad, I could have £2.75 if I locked it in for two years but don't want to do that. I might be uber lazy and non-MSE and leave the money in there rather than transfer to Nationwide for an extra £20 interestWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

Snap again, never realised you'd done the same thing! Yep that was the last time I was on them too.
I think thats pretty wise actually, for the sake of £25 to still have access to your money should you need it its a very small price to pay.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Oops did I say £2.75? I'm sure you realised I meant 2.75%!! I could have the 2.75 instant access with Nationwide if I moved, but I just don't think I can be bothered! I'll just have to be more vigilant in checking on the rate now that it's variable rather then fixed.
It's ever so quiet on here today! Forcing me into actually working! :eek:Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

I haven't roller skated since I was about 14 either, but I'm SO tempted to give it a go - my local team are the Brighton RockersI bet it will be full of angry teenage emos though... And it would probably hurt

It DOES look as though it would hurt. Not sure about the angry emos - more like the angry lezzers at our one I think! You should give it a go (she says, from a safe distance)!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0
