It DOES look as though it would hurt. Not sure about the angry emos - more like the angry lezzers at our one I think! You should give it a go (she says, from a safe distance)!

That's kind of a given in Brighton :p I think I'll see if I can stand up in skates first before I consider pursuing this! Rollerblading along the seafront is on my 30 things to do before I'm 30 list (snazzy abbreviation please!) as is joining a team, so two birds, one stone, right? :D

Haha, oh yes, I've seen Sugar Rush! :D

Ermmm, 30 by 30? I think they're quite particular that they're SKATES not BLADES, so you might need to amend a bit! But yes, two birds - you've no excuses now!

    30b430?!

I don't have a local team, I'd have to go to Boro or Leeds which is a fair trek! :( I'd be scared of the angry lezzers too, maybe I should recommend our office girl who is now back on girls after a brief fling with a bloke! I really could have done without logging into Facebook yesterday to see pictures of her snogging her new GF! I don't even like to see boys and girls snogging in pictures so I was a bit _pale_ when I saw that! Anyway I digress... the Rollergirls look too cool for me anyway. I might just have to watch wistfully from the sidelines!

Hehe, I have a lesbian friend who is always getting crushes on men, she's a bit confused I think bless her!

I think you do need a certain amount of snarliness for RD, not sure I'd be any good!

Ah roller skates! Brings back memories of the last time I was on them - 2 years ago at the age of 34 and a bit, I decided to buy a pair of pink and white roller skates, fell over the minute I try to move. Used to whizz down hills in them when I was (alot) younger as well!

One of my best friends from school is gay, she's 'marrying' her girlfriend in Vegas the same week I marry NIM. While it doesn't gross me out per say, what I don't get is why some people feel the need to define themselves by their sexuality ie for her birthday her cake was a giant erm, vajajay/front bottom/whatever you want to call it (sorry, struggled to think of an MSE friendly word), and all the photos are of them basically licking, prodding and generally molesting this already VERY disturbing cake. I like men, but if someone brought me a penis cake for my bithday they wouldn't be invited to the next one!

Vajajay cake?!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: That's just sick and weird. The girl I work with is a bit weird with her gayness, she says nothing at work about it but she's all gay and proud on FB, but a lot of us at work are FB friends with her and we're not quite sure what to say at work since she says nothing! She's got a lot of 'tude too so I don't want to say anything wrong!

LOL@ Swinstie, I think some things are better left in the past! I used to be a mean cartwheeler and roly-poly-er and thought I'd try it again a couple of years ago... what a disaster!

Ewww that cake sounds gross. Why would someone do that!

Well done on the ISA money, that is pretty good interest.

There is a Roller disco in Southampton and we went for my friends birthday, was pretty fun! I think the Roller derby would be a bit scary though.

Haha at the giant vjayvjay cake! I think that's pretty funny.

Bit naughty of you lot to be talking about 'big lezzers' as if they are another species! We are all just girls :D

I specifically said I had no issue with who people choose to sleep with - I just have issues with private parts rendered in buttercream!
