So pleased for your holiday Tete. I can't believe there aren't more options for you to look at on the house front - harsh. I really hope you see something nice soon.

Ooo exciting to hear all the holiday plans shaping up. OH and I are hoping for 2 weeks in Spain, a week in San Sebastian and then a week in the Rioja region for wine and tapas. There's not a lot in the kitty but at least wine and tapas are cheap! And flights to Bilbao quite okay too :D

Doesn't sound like you've done too badly recently then Lulu! If money was ever tighter than it is holidays would be one of the last things to go, I do like my little trips away!

That sounds fab Lara, I've never been up to that end of Spain you'll have to tell me all about it. Love a bit of Rioja like! :D

I feel rotten today, OH was ill all weekend and I gave him all my cold and throat remedies, now he's passed it on to me and I had nothing to take! So raided Tesco drug aisle on the way to work, and got myself some lovely carrot and coriander soup for dinner and a tiger roll :)

Feeling quite in a Dooyoo mood so hoping to get a couple done today - not leaving my desk today :(

Remember that stretch material I ordered Tete? It just arrived (clearly addressed to number 8, I live at number 3!Luckily my neighbours are nice!), and its an even more hideous colour than I gave it credit for! Its sort of a old lady bright camel colour. Lovely.

Sorry you're feeling poorly Tete! I thought I'd wake up with cold/flu as I was feeling really sorry for myself last night, all achey and weepy. OH didn't believe that I was just feeling sorry for myself and was convinced I was mad at him but I was just in a weepy mood! I went to see my friend on Saturday and she was dying of flu so ever since then every time I sneeze I panic that This Is It!

You know, I just can't get rid of annoying smells in my office. If it isn't old lady fag breath smell it's stinky perfume. The young girl here has a good spray around every morning with her sickly sweet perfume and there's no ventilation in the office so it lingers like anything. It is horrid, I can taste it and it's making me feel sick! I keep making excuses to leave the office but I'm running out of reasons to escape now! Bleh!

So you're going to have a nice Camel dress Dinah? :D Mmmmm!

Birdie that's bad if you can taste it! But maybe going out of the office isn't the best plan as it'll be fresh again when you go back in, if you stay there you might get used to it?

I draped the material over me, it looks awful! Oh well, it's a learning curve!

Do your cats snore Tete? I think mine must have a cold, in the last week she's become a little motor engine!

Sally snores but she is quite fat, she also sleeps with her eyes partly open so you see all her REM sleep going on it's horrible, I always have to wake her up. Mavis just purrs like a little generator :)

    - Continue to research hotels in Pisa and Florence - esp Pisa
    - 2 Dooyoos
    - Copy 3 to Ciao
    - Catch up on all rating for Ciao and DY
    - Make back-up copies of all reviews - just in case!
    - Check Lloyds internet banking to see if interest has been added
    - Look into scratchies/surveys (sorry Dinah!)
    - Read last 1.5 chapters of The Subtle Knife

Only a short list today as I'm feeling sorry for myself, not leaving this chair all day and seeing OH tonight so I'll be lucky if I even manage my bit of reading!

Urgh, the smell is sinking into things, I can feel it on me.... I'm going out into the warehouse, anywhere's better than here! Talk later!

Sounds like you deserve a break - yay for booking Italy flights :T I seem to have lost the rest of my multiquotes, but tis exciting about raiding the ISA to replace Bluey (sad though it is :() Ooh, and I loved the mental picture of Birdie and Mr Birdie spinning around in the spare room :D

My dad always advises lower milage unless its a reps car (which a micra is unlikely to be, they tend to be vectras, astras, bm 3 series and the like). The passage of time isn't what puts wear on a car nowadays as they don't rust easily, but many miles wears the springs especially, but also is extra wear on your engine.

Yup, I reckon this is a good rule of thumb - same as my OH's advice.
