Oh Flower I know how you feel, my MOF is totally not happening! Showed OH my balance on it last night and he laughed at me and said he's happy to pay for everything but still! Have you have any news on the house repairs?

No, rang the guy a few times but feel bad because he keeps saying he will ring me when theres any news. Have been past the house a few times and there clearly is alot of building going on in there. Just hope we're not putting all our eggs in one basket - we might not even like it!!

Sorry I didn't get to talk to you much this evening Tete, glad you managed to get the boring health and safety book out of the way x

OH got paid a day early this week (because of bank holiday) so have transferred some more money over to MOF - finally taking it about the £800 mark :T just really want t break the £1000 mark, hopefully will within the next couple of weeks.

Feeling alot more positive about the moving fund today, must be the sunshine!

Glad you're feeling a bit more positive Flower, have you been looking at anything else besides the one with the building work on?

No prob Dinah, wasn't really in the mood for it on Wednesday so just sat with my pen - I find it really hard to follow what she's saying sometimes and some weeks being there feels like a waste of time. Hoping that having two weeks off will give me chance to catch up a bit with the samples. How's the knee, were you seeing someone about it on Thursday?

Had an alright few days off, but the not-having-our-own-place scenario is magnified when we're off work, parents are all off work and the weather's bad, got myself really depressed about it actually, just so sick of this situation where we're sort of holed up in the bedroom like kids :(

Haven't glanced at any money stuff all weekend, but doesn't feel as though it's been too spendy, will update after doing the hoovering!

I've had a quick look on rightmove and seen a few really nice flats, but we have said if we can help it we would prefer a house with a garden - mainly for the cat, but also just because i would love to have a bit of outdoor space.

Think at the minute we aren't in any real hurry, but i am sure that will change when OH has a sulky mood! If we havent heard anything from the other house in the next few weeks, i think we will seriously start considering getting moved into somewhere else.

Sorry to hear your feeling down about it all at the minute tete. I know how hard it can be, and your right it does make it so much worse when the weather is bad and you cant go anywhere. How is your OH feeling about it all? Has he said anything more about the move?

Yeah he feels the same as me really just manages not to be as bad-tempered about it :o He hates the village he lives in and his parents both smoke which isn't very nice as we don't so he's dying to move as well, but he's more level headed and concerned about getting the right place. Sigh. It just seems as though there were a few possible places a few weeks ago when we weren't really properly looking but now - nada!

I know what you mean about wanting a garden, I don't know if I'd like living in a flat again, especially as it'll hopefully be for a few years... I'm hoping for a barbecue summer!

Thats probably a good thing that he is more level headed about it though - you dont want to move somewhere that you will end up hating! Sounds a bit like OH and me, but the other way round. OH wants to move now, but i want to wait until something we really love comes up.

Yes we really want to be in the new place for a few years aswell, and i dont think i could go that long without having some outdoor space - even if its only a garden flat. I loved our first flat we had together, it was ground floor and had its own little private garden, but i would also love us to have a spare room aswell. Want, want, want :rotfl::rotfl:

Would love to go with this company that this house is with and it gives us the renting option but with more stability, would also allow us to decorate etc in a way which we would want.

Aye you seemed really blue on Wednesday, I figured it was the moving thing though.

I have a chondral lesion caused by chondromalacia patellae, basically the lining of my knee has been wearing away for years (which it shouldnt be doing anyway) and now its torn. I get 6 weeks of physio, which may or may not lead to keyhole surgery.

Maybe a flat with a big balcony? We had barbeques on ours and I used to sit out there for breakfast and watch the sun come up along the Tyne, it was fab! Hope a house comes up though, maybe you need to cast a slightly wider net in terms of the areas you are looking in?
