Oh that is annoying - it's bad enough when they send things to the Royal Mail depot in the middle of nowhere, but Leeds! Yeah I don't think I'll get anywhere with Amazon but at least I'll have tried (and can cancel it once and for all over the phone!)
I'm not sure about the procedure with ebay, I haven't actually opened a dispute, I just emailed her and she emailed back - do I need a dispute to receive my refund? Augh!
And I've just had a sh!tload of work landed on me at the very last minute by my manager - it's all horrible rebranding of powerpoints and stuff which I'm rubbish at anyway, and all needs doing by 3pm tomorrow - Grrrr!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

Bluey, much as I love him, is starting to go wrong in lots of ways - he's making some funny noises sometimes and doesn't seem to have the same power he used to. The horn has gone, things fall out of the glovebox if I go over a bump, he doesn't like going anywhere in the rain, the windscreen washers leak, he can't seem to hang on to wheel trims.... and so on. So much as I love him and he's been a faithful servant I think it's time for something a bit smarter and more reliable. And having thought about it, I don't want to spend money on something TOO new if we'll be moving away in a couple of years anyway, so about a 8-year-old Micra it is. (Dad thinks I should spend a bit of money getting him serviced so he runs better but to be honest I think it's throwing good money after bad and come the winter I'll still have problems with him not starting...)
We're also looking at a few days in Tuscany in May which I think I've mentioned on here before, as long as Ryanair aren't holding too mcuh back, flights should be around £60 so we're hoping to be able to book a night in Pisa and two in Florence for £200 in total ... this may have to come out of the MOF but I'm not going to worry too much. OH says he's happy to pay fees and things for the house, I just wanted to have a bit put by myself to show I'm not taking the pee, but I think he'd rather have a trip to Italy than me contribute to the house! We'll see, we'll see....
Sorry for the monster post guys, guess I had a lot to get off my chest!
The new(er) car sounds like a really good idea, be more reliable and won't eat into your savings too much. Tuscany sounds like an even better idea, I'd love to go sometime. When we were looking last year we found a gorgeous looking converted monestry outside Pisa, quite basic but gorgeous tranquill surroundings.Tete_en_l'Air wrote: »OK not doing too badly so far.
Benn to bank and updated sig, not sure whether anything else will go into the MOF this month but hey ho.
Weighed myself and as I said on Poddle's thread, although I seem to have lost 3lbs since last week, I also seem to have lost 2" in height! Think I might just go back to nudey-weigh-ins at home, need to find some batteries for the scales.
Had a reply straight away from skirt lady who is very apologetic and says to return it and she'll give me a refund. So i'm pleased about that but no worried! Should I have opened a dispute? How do I know she'll refund the money once she's got the skirt back? Eek!
I'm guessing thats lack of accuracy rather thank actual shrinkage in the vertical direction!
Get proof of postage that you sent it back to her, and keep hold of the emails from her in case she disputes it was returned then you have them to show ebay/paypal if needed.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Urgh, bummer about the work!
The young girl in my office (who's covered in tattoos and piercings and has 'funky' hair that makes me wince with its coolness...) has got a new lip piercing but I didn't notice. She looks a bit put out, I thought she looked odd because she kept playing with her lip but didn't really think about it but a chap has just walked in and commented on it... and I still haven't said anything because I think it's gross! Should I feel bad?!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Hmm I don't know Birdie, I tend not to comment on things I don't like or don't approve of - it's better than being two-faced surely?
It's a shame Tuscany will only be for a few days, I was asking someone at work for tips as I had a feeling she might have a house there as she always goes, and was hoping if she did she'd offer it to us and we could go for longer, hire a car and see all the little towns and villages, but she doesn'tWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
The holiday sounds lovely, don't we have nice OH's! Will be really nice to have a little break and relax.
That is good the lady was nice about the skirt. I am sure most people on ebay are quite reasonable, it is the rest that ruin it.
Oh dear certainly sounds like Bluey needs a replacement. It is not worth it if he is going to end up costing you loads in repairs etc.0 -

Didn't get as much done as I wanted (Dooyoo mainly!) after getting that phonecall with the really urgent work I had to do, that took me til dinnertime today and now I don't have any inclination to do any work! I hate having things thrust on me because someone else hasn't had the forethought to tell me in time
Anyway it's done, I've got my expenses claim in from London a couple of weeks ago so that's another £20 coming for the MOF. Feeling a bit despondent about moving again after having a little look at the sites just now - it's all the same old places, some of them have been on there so long it makes you wonder if they're even still available, I know for certain a couple of them aren't because I rang up about them.
Ebay skirt lady has been very apologetic at least and has refunded me already even though I only posted it back an hour ago. After postage I've only got £7-odd back but still. I'll add that to my expenses and maybe my loose change and bring the MOF to £300.
I feel a bit carpy to be honest, maybe it's just because I've got wet feet from going outside. Going to make a cuppa and look at flights to Italy perhaps! And it's a three day week again for me so I should be pleased but I'm not
Did manage to stick to my target calories yesterday despite having a creme egg and an almond so that was good, going to Pizza Hut again for tea though (I think they know we only go if we've got a voucher so they keep sending them!!) so need to have a look for my best options for that.Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Sorry you're feeling a bit carp - I don't suppose the weather helps much! Shall I tell you what just happened to me? It might cheer you up
As the museum opens to the public tomorrow we were having a staff lunch today with outside caterers providing hot dishes. As me and another girl were about to serve up the flip-down counter flipped down and two of the dishes smashed on the floor  We were incriminated by the splashes of spinach and tomato sauce on our shoes... We had to eke out the surviving cannelloni (for 6) with some mini quiches and olives and crisps to make it serve 15! Still, it was good for the diet :rotfl:

Evening everyone!
Havent been around for a few days, been busy busy busy with work.
Finally managed to get the moving house fund back up to what it was before all the works for the car. Feeling a bit fed up with it all though, really want to break the £1000 mark with it - feel like its acting as a bit of a psychological barrier for us at the mo!!
Anyway rant over.
Tete - Italy sounds like a lovely ideavery jealous!
