Just found some shoes under my desk that have been there about a year - I never wear them because they're too high to walk in. That's a fifth thing to go on the ebay list tonight :rolleyes:Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

hi, i've got my first payout ever from Quidco this month, it's exciting isn't it, sad i know.
I would just get the DVD's for a tenner, they are worth £15. think of it this way, if you saw something for £25 which was reduced to £15 that was perfect would you not get it because the original price was £25? Well that's how i would think of it any way. And how will they know where you bought it from? to know one place is cheaper than another0 -
Good point LT thanks! I'm definitely going to get them from Amazon - there are a few things I want from Amazon actually but I'm waiting on £10 worth of BP vouchers.
Quite a successful foray into town:
£4.91 - posting parcels (estimated at £6) AND 6 2nd class stamps
£3.00 - two pairs festive socks pressies for friends
£1.98 - two rolls wrapping paper (I was going to get three rolls in Paperchase for £7, this isn't as nice though *sigh*)
£0.35 - bag of Skips
Total so far: £10.24, but I HAVE made a start on Christmas. If I was a very good DFW I'd move that £5 saved on wrapping paper straight over to ny OD, but I think I'll be needing it this month!!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Your presents for OHs parents are a good idea. I need to make a present forone of my friends this week up to the sum of £5 ofr our secret santa. can't decide what to make, I am thinking a photo frame or some nice bisucits..
Seems like you are doing well getting organised anyway0 -
£5 is difficult - everything's so expensive! Do you have any Christmas shaped cookie cutters? That's what I'm using for OH's parents - star and bell and tree shapes and things! I'm feeling very Christmassy I have to say!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

I want to send NIMs parents something homemade, thoughtful and inexpensive. Any idea what might fit this bill and also travel well and not weigh a ton to post?!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

As in food type homemade or anything? Hmm. I'm going to attempt lavender hanger things for some friends, shouldn't be too hard - not sure what his dad would make of that though! I guess cakes/anything iced are aout of the question ... Twink hobnobs? You'll get some nice light-ish boxes in the cheapy card shops, rather than the jars I'm hoping to use...Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Aye but I'm wondering if they'd fall apart completely by the time they got there? Maybe they'd be better packed tightly in a jar!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I don't know I think they're quite robust - and they keep well too so you don't need to worry about them going off ... although yeah they might go soft if not in an airtight container. Have you had a ,ook on the special occasions board? 'Gifts across the miles' or something? Are you not over there over Christmas to give them something in person - bit easier?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Nope we're not over there again until 2011. It's expensive to go, and his dad is coming this way in the spring to see NIM, and his mum can't be bothered to clear some space in her diary to see her oldest son even if we go over there so she can shove itDebt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
