    Hi Tete!

    Hope you're feeling a bit better :)

When you write down your spends it makes them more 'real' if that makes sense! You don't realise how much you fritter away until you write it down! But you're feeling rubbish so you may be excused :D

I really need to try this BingoBritain..

  • Hi Zig! Was feeling better, huge headache now, am hoping wine solves it tonight!

Eek, haven't even had time to write a to-do list let alone actually do anything on it! Oh well never mind, off home in a bit. Am treating OH to his tea (again) - he's had his final uni thing today, an interview on what he wrote in his dissertation, and they gave him 74% so that means he's definitely passed his degree, and he won't say anything but I'll be surprised if he doesn't get a First, so it's a bit of a celebration. Nothing really planned for the weekend apart from some Christmas shopping so will be back to confess all on Sunday!

Ooh, and got an email from the Vice Chancellor today - because we won the University of the Year Award he's letting us all have an extra day off at Christmas! I'm very pleased with this, especially as I was off the day they announced it and I missed all the champagne!

Yay an extra day off. WE are supposed to have the days of between christmas and new year as a special present this year but i will probably have to work 1 or 2 of them. On the plus side we get an extra day off next year if we work and someone has offered to take us for lunch.

Hello, Wendz I'd be worried that they'd forget that little fact between now and next Christmas!

Sunday night blues here this evening - hate it when the weekends are over! Lost track a little bit with spends over the weekend, need to take stock and look at my receipts but will do this in the morning. Did do quite well with Christmas shopping though, so that's a relief.

My cousin has just been round and I've been asked to be bridesmaid for a Christmas wedding in a couple of years so that's really nice and exciting but she stayed ages and I've got Christmas cards to make! Just had 10 ebay sales so going to package those up, then sit in front of Small Island with my wine and my Origami book! Promise I'll come back in the morning and report my spends and have a better to do list! OH has annoyingly demanded a Victoria Sponge for when I see him on Tuesday, so that's most of tomorrow evening taken up!

Ooh thanks Lara, that would be great! I got one of those Taste London trial cards that were in the email a couple of weeks ago, should arrive this week so I'll have a look at what restaurants are included in that too.

OK, have sat and totted up my spends for the weekend:

    Friday:
£23.00 - pub tea for both of us
£ 8.77 - Tesco - massive pack of loo rolls and some Coke and cake

    Saturday:
    £ 8.00 - 8 glass jars
£ 3.49 - Tin of posh biccies for Granny Xmas
£29.99 - simple mobile phone for Granny Xmas
    £ 3.99 - toiletries for Granny Xmas
£ 7.22 - wine and sweeties (after OH paid for tea)

    Sunday:
    £ 6.10 - Starbucks :o
    £ 4.99 - Dad pressie
    £39.99 - Dad Pressie

TOTAL: £135.54 - of which £90.45 was Christmas pressies. Hmmm.

Have a bit of a horrible feeling I might have to dip into overdraft/ebay sales money to pay for Christmas presents/London spends :o:o

    Busy day today:
    - Keep turning phone on and off til my old number transfers
    - Do my Amazon Christmas shopping
    - Send ebay parcels
    - Spend £1 in Boots to get enough points for OH pressie*
    - Buy eggs, butter and cream for cake
    - 1 Dooyoo
    - 2 Dooyoo
    - 1 Beauty Judge
    - Bingoport
    - BB
    - Washing
    - Litter tray
    - Tomorrow's packed lunch
    - Bake cake
    - Parcelling up of tonight's ebay sales
    - Make Christmas cards
    - Make teabag things
    - Have a look at sewing folder, put in order, see what's missing
    - Poss. have a look at antique sewing machine
    - Paint my nails!

*Totally did not realise that you only get Boots points for each FULL £1 spent - I was 12 points off OH's pressie amount and spent £2.95 yesterday (OH spent it) thinking that would give me 13 points but I'm still 2 short!

I sent off my old phone for recycling at the weekend so hopefully should get something back for that, though the screen was cracked so anything I do get is a bonus really!

Also had an email back from Quidco about EDF to say I'll have to call them to find out my reference number. Curse Dad for being so 'efficient' and throwing correspondence away as soon as it comes through the door!

Just done a massive chunk of Christmas shopping and updated my spreadsheet. I've now spent £267.41 on presents (what was my estimate? £250?!) and have either £10 to go or - because I'm staring to do that thing where I think I need to get more and more things - £50 to go.

Augh, I'm not very good at budgetting am I?

You don't need more - Christmas is not about who spends the most - step away from the purse!
