Errr, after London spends not a lot, £100ish. OK I'll definitely not get the extra thing I was going to get OH, and the other thing for Dad, still have about £10 to spend on Dad though.
Ebay sales currently at £66, it may be that I just have to put that money in my C/A rather than OD, but at least the OD isn't increasing right?
ETA - I'm not trying to show off by spending lots, I just don't want it to look a bit rubbish. I wish I could just buy presents and not worry what people think of them!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Know what you mean. I'm not worried this year though as they know we're skint!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I am like that Tete I feel like presents aren't enough, that is one problem with being so organised.
You should get a reasonable amount for your phone, mine had a button missing and i still got the full amount.0 -
Hoping to get £110 for mine when I trade it in. Vodafone text me to say my phone is being delivered today. Handy, since I asked them to deliver it tomorrow since I'm not there today!!!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Some people are just too efficient for their own good aren't they?! I'm looking at £20 if it's deemed to be in full working order, £13 otherwise, or £0 if it's really in that much of a state!! Still, every little helps doesn't it?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Certainly does. I need to pay off the crafty money and those royal doulton plates that are in fact NOT microwave safe (dispite saying that on them!) so aren't really any good for everyday use, as both are on the credit card with all the little helps really do help this month.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

This is the problem with absolute bargains when you're skint isn't it - you have to find some money from somewhere and can end up in debt again. Is there no way to return then if they're not what they say they are?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Yeah but it costs to return them. So I'll probably keep them, I'll just have to keep my slightly chipped white and silver Pier plates as well for if I need to use the microwave.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Hello Tete
Here's a little list of things you might like to do around the London Eye. This is the area where I work.
London Eye - I enjoyed but was too stingy to buy the brochure so didn't know what all the buildings were! You could do some research on google maps.
Starting here walk down the riverside towards London Bridge. As you come to the Royal Festival hall there's a Christmas market, a bit cheesy in parts but Santa winked at me last year, LOL
Royal Festival Hall is nice for coffee and there are often concerts of all kinds at lunchtime, so worth stopping by. Just opposite the Festival Hall is the Hungerford bridge - this is a great place to get a look at the houses of parliament.
In this complex is also the Hayward Gallery which has great exhibitions but is expensive.
It's a really nice romantic walk down the South Bank especially at night, past the National Theatre and British Film Institute. There are a couple of good places to eat, the Anchor and hope is a quite posh gastropub with a very good reputation. No booking - just turn up. Studio 6 is where I go for simple and cheap dinner after work - nothing remarkable but cheap and good in a city where expensive and bad is probably the norm in town.
There is also Konditor and Cook, a lovely cake shop that also does sandwiches and some nice pubs such as the White Hart.
It is well worth a visit to the Tate Modern, even if you don't like modern art. The building is amazing and the installations are always cool. It is free for most of the collections. It is well worth getting a drink in the bar on the top floor for the lovely view. the food is great but expensive (about £50 each I think). It's open late on Fridays and Saturdays so you can get a lovely evening view.
During the daytime it's well worth meandering along the riverside to Borough Market. Coming up to Christmas it's very festive, with mulled wine and cider, lots of tasting of cheese, and amazingly nice street food. Great for a really good lunch for £5. Lots of nice bars in this area including the Gladstone.
Will post some other places tomorrow!
