  • Ah Lara, you angel - that map is fantastic thank you! :kisses3: I've been on the Eye a couple of times (with brochure!) so not bothered about doing that again, went to Tate Modern a few years ago - loved it but came out with the biggest headache - and don't think I even saw half of it! Not sure if OH would be up for modern art as I'll be dragging him to the NHM and Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition (:j) anyway. Loving the sound of Borough Market and the foodie recommendations though, stomach is rumbling as we speak!

On a London theme - does anyone have any experience of the Half Price theatre tickets booth? We really fancy Billy Elliot but tickets are £60-odd for a decent seat, if we could get them for half that it would be grand. What would queues be like on a Thursday I wonder?

    Spends for yesterday:
    £10.51 - posting parcels (estimated £23 - bargain!)
    £ 1.55 - Coke and crisps
£ 3.00 - tip in Pizza Hut (OH paid)
    £ 1.16 - BOGOF Pepsi Max

    TOTAL: £15.72

Not doing very well with my to-do lists I have to say :o
    To do today:
    - [STRIKE]Post eBay parcels[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]OH's pressie in stock?[/STRIKE]

    - 2 Dooyoo
    - [STRIKE]1 Beauty Judge[/STRIKE]
    - Bingoport
    - BB

    - Parcelling up of tonight's ebay sales - I did some, then decided they can wait til tomorrow
    - Finish off Christmas cards
    - Paint nails! (Really disappointed I didn't get time to do this last night)

Few things carrying over to today:
    - 1 Dooyoo
    - 1 BJ
    - Bingoport
    - Do a bit of sewing folder (print some bits off in work)
    - Buy more red cards and double sided tape
    - Finish off Christmas cards!
    - Do teabag thingies
    - Parcel up remaining ebay items

That'll do for tonight as have sewing class.

Morning. I'm feeling pretty jaded this morning and a bit sick of moneysaving/making, sick of always having a list of things to do on an evening and not getting to bed before 11.30 and having to traipse to the post office with ebay parcels every single day. Sigh. I'll be OK once I've woken up a bit. I did get another £5 through from BP so that's good, and I've finished my Christmas shopping so I guess I'll have to treat myself with it! :D

Checked my bank balance and it's actually looking a bit healthier than I expected but I'll have to double check what DDs still need to come out.

I want to pay my ebay fees then withdraw what's left, but I don't understand my account:

    Latest invoice amount (15-Nov-09): £1.16
Credits, payments and refunds applied to latest invoice: -£14.05
    Credits £0.00
    Payments -£14.05
    Refunds £0.00
    Total Amount:-£12.89 s.gif
New activity not applied to invoice: £25.22
    Current Balance: £12.33

I don't know whether the minus amounts are what I owe? Or do I just owe them £12.33 - is it that simple?

ETA- I paid £12.33 and balance came out as £0 so I think that's right. Just withdrawn £161 into my current account. Would be lovely for even half of that to go off my OD but I don't think I can...

I think you're so disheartened because you have to do all the extra moneymaking just to stay even Tete, its not actually reducing the debt, hopefully January will be better once all the present buying and trips away is over with.

  • Yeah there's that, though I'm feeling pretty good about the amount I managed to pay off this month, when I thought if anything it would be going up. It's just the fact that every spare minute seems to be taken up with packaging things up and so on, and things like making my own Christmas cards and baking and the sewing are more like another chore than enjoyable like they should be.

Oh woe is me this morning!!

Lol you are in a flunk aren't you.

I do get what you mean though. A lot of me looks forward to the day when I can come home and think 'what do I WANT to do this evening?' rather than having a list of things that need to be done. Sadly its not likely to be for many years yet!

  • OH goes mad at me when I moan about being busy because I bring it all on myself and I know I do. Maybe I'll take a bit of a break once I've got the OD paid off, but then there's always something to save for! Augh. At least it's my Friday today, I'm going to have a large glass of wine tonight!

Lol sounds like a good plan. Why you not in tomorrow?

Aye but its a pain-gain thing. Doing all this means you can afford to do the things you want to.

  • OH has the day off supposedly at uni in Northampton - his boss doesn't realise he did his final exam in Sheffield last week, so I took a day too.

I know I know. I think once I've ebayed everything I possibly can and finished my decluttering I'll feel a bit better with less to do.

  • Spends so far today:
    £11.14 - post office
    £ 2.65 - jacket potato
£ 0.50 - fairy cake from bake sale downstairs in aid of elderly charity

Going for a quiet drink with OH tonight, won't cost too much.

In light of my weary mood, just a fairly easy list for today:
    - [STRIKE]Post parcels[/STRIKE]
    - Finish off dooyoo from the other day
    - Finish off making Christmas cards and write out
    - Parcel up last 2 packages
    - Look for instructions which were missing from one ebay item

    Day off tomorrow:
    - Post last two parcels
    - Post Christmas cards
    - Get fringe trimmed
    - Make appointment
    - Make dental appointment
    - Investigate where Amazon parcel has got to if it doesn't arrive today
