Given how much you loved the Dominican Republic last time Birdie, why do you want to go somewhere else?
I think we feel like we want it to be a bit 'bigger' than 2 weeks in the Dominican, we quite like the idea of going somewhere for a little bit afterwards, away from friends and family so we have a honeymoon away from everyone else. I am quite happy with 2 weeks there and nowhere else but OH really wants to go somewhere else. He doesn't normally like to spend a lot on holidays so I think he likes the excuse that our wedding/honeymoon will give us to go a little crazy!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Hello all, I feel like I've been away AGES! (I haven't.) Life seems to be catching up with me
Ack to Ebay, Tete! It's great when everything runs smoothly, but super annoying if not. If you've already sold a lot of stuff, I think you should give the last few bits to a charity shop. You may not get any cash, but you'll have a warm, fuzzy glow inside...
Birdie, I think I understand what you mean - the Dominican would be pretty 'big' if you hadn't been before and weren't getting married there, but you'll definitely want to get away somewhere special on your own afterwards.
Off for a little catch up x x
PS. Tete, if you have this woman's address you could do a Sharon Osbourne and send her some poo in the post. That would give her something to complain about! :rotfl:LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
Oh don't tempt me Poddle! I normally can't stand Sharon but could definitely find an affinity with her in this!!
Feeling a bit more zen now about everything.
I replied to the Old Boot - apologising profusely whilst stating that she's being ridiculous. If she decides to leave bad feedback well I'm not planning on ebaying much anymore, and if she takes her money back or whatever they can do now, well it was only £3.
As for the jeans one - she actually paid £36 for them, but I have another pair exactly the same (the reason I was selling, total blonde moment!) which are too big now anyway so I'll just send her those rather than have to refund her.
Definitely putting the last few bits in charity shop - I've looked over my unsold list and doubt they'd sell for much anyway so it's not worth the tine and hassle.
Also feeling lots better health wise, perhaps my throat was sore because I slept with my mouth open or something?
I agree with your OH Birdie - you're saving quite a lot I gather by getting married abroad so surely this gives you licence to go wild on the honeymoon? You're only going to do it once after all!
Hey CMD, did I gather from Dinah's thread that you have your own too? Will have to find it!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

We did the same. We got married in Spain (11 days) and went on honeymoon to Borneo. If I had my time again I would have gone to Borneo 6 months after as it is quite a bit of rushing around trying to get home from one place and then off to another.
Whatever makes you happiest is what you should go for thoughIt's your wedding and your decision

I know, slap my wrist. She emailed back just now actually and seemd fine, said she'll wait a few days, might be Xmas rush, and she'll keep me posted. I replied suggesting the replacement pair - maybe that'll put her off if she's trying it on but she doesn't sound like she is.

Yep been to Bruges Tete, it was really good but very rushed. We only went for one night, and on the Wed morning we overslept (woke up at 11.15am), missed breakfast and then missed seeing the Holy Blood as it's shut on Wednesday afternoons! But the B&B was wonderful, the owner was really friendly and helpful, she gave us the breakfast pastries to take with us! The location couldn't have been better and we plan to go back.
We want to go in the summer though because for some reason we couldn't find any canal boat tours that were open, and it's a nice enough place to see on it's own, without the Christmas stuff.
What a faff with the ebay stuff!Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

You'll have a great time CMD! Hopefully you'll get good weather too, we only had very fine rain on the second day. You probably already have everything planned, but I recommend the Stephen Dumont chocolate place on Simonstevinplace - high end and gorgeous, but watch carefully if you buy weighed stuff cuz they tried to con me twice! And literally round the corner from that place is another very nice chocolate shop that sells amazing hot chocolate!Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21
