Lol, I'm with you on the golf and cricket - they're dull and I don't understand the rules, same with rugby, but I thought everyone liked tennis! Maybe I'm drawn in by the sunshine and strawberries 'n' cream aspect :)

Nope, never been to Edinburgh - it's such a long way! Until I went to Durham when I was at Uni, I think the furthest North I'd been was Manchester...
There are so many places I'd love to go to, it just seems to take forever. My brother is getting married at Ripley Castle in Yorkshire so I thought we might stay around there for a while, but it's November! Silly boy.

  • Haha, Manchester isn't north! :D Didn't know you went to Durham uni? I love Durham city but OH works there and doesn't like going for leisure.

There's never any sun on Wimbledon - it always used to annoy me that they would take Neighbours off for two weeks only to show a tennis court covered in tarpaulin!

I hate that all your money seems to dissapear straight after payday...never mind ey!

At least Neighbours is on Five now so you don't miss it for Wimbledon hehe. I would love to go down to watch mainly because you get to drink champayne.

Oooh, I'm about 10 minutes away from there! Stay in Harrogate, it's lovely! Or come to Ripon and kick it with me!
I haven't been to Edinburgh for years, last time I went was with the dreaded ex and he was hardly fun enough to make it memorable! I want to go again, it's on The List of things to do!

I like Tennis, I'd love to go to Wimbledon! It's on my 30 before 30 list! :D

Morning! Still a few things need doing, but work has been so busy I never get chance to do things like reviews!

My £10 came for my old broken phone at the weekend so that's a little boost to the MOF. OH and I had a long frank talk about money on Saturday and it turns out that he's actually been saving for quite a while and has quite a little nest egg built which he's happy to spend on this like deposits and furniture and stuff. I felt a bit silly when he told me how much after getting that £10 cheque that morning and being all chuffed about it going into my meagre moving out fund :o Still though I want to save up my £1000 as planned and save as much in Amazon vouchers as I can for buying house things, I don't want to just coast along on his money. So I felt loads better after we talked, our future looks very exciting. Been having a little look at rentals in the area but there's not much doing at the minute. A lovely little cottage in a village nearby but it's furnished ... with old fashioned furniture. I'm sure plenty of nice places will come up though, looking forward to hunting.

Woo, sorry big ramble. I think work may have calmed down a bit and I have renewed vigour for doing reviews so hopefully can get back on track with those.

    - Pay cheque into bank
    - Supermarket
    - Donate blood
    - Hem skirt
    - Packed lunch for tomorrow
    - Sort gym kit for tomorrow
    - Look into Nectar card

That's all I can think of for the minute, but I want to relax with Corrie later too so maybe I'll leave it at that!

How nice to find out that your OH has been saving up to live with you Tete! It's so exciting, I'm really happy for you! I'm sure that something great will pop up soon, and now that you know he's got some savings if something does pop up before you hit your £1000 target you know that you'll be able to grab it before it goes because great rentals don't hang around for long!

  • Thanks Birdie, yep I'm really cheerful about the whole thing now. I get a bit insecure about my relationships somethimes so it's nice to know that he's been saving up for our future all along :)

That's so nice to hear! Really lovely :) It's great that you're on the same wavelength and you're saving towards the same goal and yay for the £10 cheque - every little really does help!

  • Ooo moving out is exciting! I've never been one to be equal with money in a relationship, it's about who can afford what, when and don't forget that there are a million other ways to be generous without spending a penny so I bet you're more equal then you think in unmeasurable ways!! Sounds like a great relationship though, really happy for you :) and like poddle says, every penny counts... which reminds me, my Dad gave me a load of old mobiles to claim cash back so I should get some of those sent off!!
