I know what you mean, it's just a bit weird for me to adjust as I've been very independent for a long time, I don't want him to think I'm a sponger! (I'm sure he doesn't!)
Definitely get those phones cashed in, Martin has a comparison tool for all the mobile hone recycling companies, and don't forget Quidco!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

I agree with Elizabeth - it's rare for people to earn similar salaries, even if it's not always the man who earns more. I think the first time I truly realised that OH and I were in for the long haul was when we were buying our flat and he refused to even discuss drawing up a contract even though he'd paid the deposit. He just said "it's our home" as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. Still smitten
Yay for cashback! I got £23.06 from TCB this morning and it's going straight towards a big fat Egg loan (which went sub £10k this morning - hurrah!)LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380

Yay for the sub £10k Egg!
Aww, what a heart warming tale! I felt a bit like that too, I was beaming when he said he'd pay for a holiday for us if I was struggling saving/paying rent, he's a little angel Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

I agree with what the others said. My OH got some money left to him a few years ago and he shared it with me. In turn, I was the breadwinner for 2 years when he went back to university to study music. I think it is nicer that way Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947 Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Aw, yay for our lovely boys! It's nice (and a little unusual) to be in such a good mood on a Monday morning! Is the sun shining up there too?LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380

We have snow up here! It came back on friday night and it's very cold! But yes, definite good mood! Just been to pay my £10 into the bank and got a papercut from the paying-in envelope but even that hasn't dampened spirits!
Hey who else still does Ciao? when are the premium fund points given out? I thought it would be today and if so I haven't got any Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Ahh that is great to hear about your OH having saved all the money up. I have just made mine spend all his savings on the new car. Then he started claiming yesterday he could have bought be an engagement ring with that money. He is such a wind up!
Oh and I didn't get any premium fund, maybe they haven't done it yet.0

Ah good glad it's not just me! That was a cruel thing for him to say to you Wendz, he really is winding you up isn't he?! OK, so nothing on your birthday, or Christmas ... maybe Valentines??? I have to admit, I had a little bit of a dream-engagement-ring-fantasy in my head when I found out how much he had stashed away! But it will all be spent on sofas and bonds, sigh! Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 But it will all be spent on sofas and bonds, sigh! Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0
