Morning, got my dress finished last night, still a little bit baggy in the armpitular area after taking in the waist but I really don't have the heart to get the unpicker out AGAIN. If I keep my arms down no-one will ever know!
The picture's a bit weird, I obviously pressed some previously-unused button on my camera. You can't see it that well but this is the fabric, all hills and clouds and trees:
Flower I think that's a bit harsh on poor old Gord, he's not that bad! Not the worst in the Commons by any stretch (not that he's IN the Commons any more...) Sorry to hear about the car, must feel like all you've done lately is spend money on it - hope it's just something quick and easy and cheap to fix
As well as being a 1950s housewife doing all my sewing yesterday I also made a lemon loaf last night - totally scrummy! Got some for my dinner today (as well as proper food haha!)
No to-do lists or anything for me today, I actually don't feel like I have anything TO do!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

I love days like that!! Yay you
That dress is soo pretty! I really like the design on the material - shame about the baggyness under the armpits. But there's nothing stopping you fixing it one day when you've forgotten the pain of unpicking! It looks great though.
I agree, Gordon wasn't that bad. He always had nice hair. I have to say, although I didn't like him as a PM, I really did like him as a person. He sempt very sweet and well meaning when he talked about things outside politics.0 -

:rotfl::rotfl:Cinnys complement to Gordon. Sorry but i definitely think he is a highly unattractive man - although i did think he looked really sad when he did his statement about resigning, wanted to give him a big hug :rotfl:Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -

Yey! Glad you got the dress finished off. I felt a right idiot for not brining anything with me to do. But I don't know what to make next.

I'm not really being tough on him! Being tough would be if I said yellow really doesn't suit him. The hair, complexion and suit he can change. But he's stuck with yellow.
Lol :rotfl:
In a bad mood this evening, got something wrong with the car again - not sure what it is yet (or more to the point how much its going to cost), taking it down to the garage tomorrow to see what the damage is. Wont be going to the same garage as last time - complete rip off! Sorry just had to come and vent!
Sorry to hear that Flower, I feel the same - if it's not one thing it's something else! Hope it's not too expensive
OH's car needs a new clutch, but it's some 'rare' model so it will cost about £900he's sort of looking at buying something else for about £2.5k but it's a big gamble isn't it? Grr!

mechanic just phoned to tell us the damage, £180 coming out the savings - feels like we're not getting anywhere with it at the minute!

Ofc you are flower, it was only a few weeks ago you were celebrating getting over the £1000 mark, and you're nearly at £1500 now.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Ooh, exciting! What do you have at the minute, what would you be looking at? I have to confess I don't have the same bond with still-unnamed-grey-car as I had with BlueyMaybe it will come with time...

Yeah I was thinking that a bit, it's been good as I've learnt how to do a proper adjusting job rather than a botch job, so at least I know what I need to do to it. Saw a silver coloured beaded belt in Topshop sale last week that'll go lovely so goin to pop back today to see if it's still there...Yey! Glad you got the dress finished off. I felt a right idiot for not bringing anything with me to do. But I don't know what to make next.
We're doing pretty little flowers and things next week she said, so we have to bring in little scraps of pretty fabric to play with, and if you have an old zip she'll show you how to make one of those zip corsage things.I don't think I've ever had nothing to do. I'm jealous. How does it feel?!
Well, I have plenty of real work to do after being off, but I know I'm seeing OH tonight and tomorrow and won't get anything done anyway so it's silly thinking up things to do. Not in the mood for Dooyoo etc this week, will try to start again from Monday.
I felt really sorry for Gordon too, he inherited a lot of problems and had a tought deal of it during his short time as PM. Made me cry when his voice crackedWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

Yes, you really are! It's not ideal, but at least you have savings to pay for the car repairs with - a year ago it might have just added to your debt, right? Try not to feel down about itLBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380
