Well the robber bit sounds about right! Thanks for that explanation; every day's a school day!

Dinah beat me to it! :D I prefer your OHs way of thinking though Birdie!! But I think I'm pretty easy to peg as a Tory, I don't hide it well at all :o

OH and I came up with 'conservative sounds like conservatory which shortens to tory' but 99% sure that's wrong!

    :rotfl::rotfl:Bless.

    Morning everyone!

Sounds like you had a great time away Tete! I really want to go on holiday, but pretty sure we wont be going abroad this summer :(
For what its worth i would go for the cotton aswell Tete :D

Lots of political talk going on today - even though i did vote, i am very pessimistic to all parties, think they are all liars, just say what they think we want to hear blah blah blah :rotfl::o

You sound like my OH! He only voted because he still believes if he doesn't Labour would automatically get it *rollyeyes*

I'm hoping the Tory hate eases a bit. Had one person telling me I'd killed foxes the other day

Tete - Where are you planning the next holiday to?? I need to feed off your travels while I'm stuck camping in Yorkshire!

There's nowt wrong with holidaying in Yorkshire lass! I think the farthest we'll get this summer is Filey!

Eeek to the fox killing comment! That's taking things a bit far!

Glad you had a great time Tete! Sounds like it was nice. Where are you thinking about the cruise?

I am torn between Lib Dem and Tory so works out pretty well for me...hopefully! It seems there are a lot more Tory haters up North (not a dig as I know most of you are from up there hehe).

In our area you can't be anything but Labour, we're all from shipbuilding and mining communities which Maggie left for dead so it's sort of ingrained. And I don't like Cameron's waxy face.

Do you wear that first skirt you made? I really liked that!

Nope :o I sort of went off it whilst I was making it. Just finished my dress this morning and it's about two sizes too big :( Hope the teacher lady can help me pull it in as I do like this one and spent a lot of time finishing it to a high(ish) standard. It looked as though it was going to fit before I put the zip on!

Not really planning a cruise Wendz, was talking to my uncle last night and that's what they're doing and I thought they have the right idea! OH fancies Sardinia, I fancy Croatia ... keeping our options open for now!

Its a traditionally labour area up north. Maggie did nothing to help the Tories case up here!

Ooooh you could be all turn of the century and get a boat to the US :D

Did the waist end up in the right place? Out of curiosity what size did you make it? I've found a packet size 10 is right for me, even if the measurements are nowhere near!

Well I made it to a 14 I think, as my hips are normally a 12-14, and because if it was a bit tight I was worried about my feeble seams ripping. But it really is enormous. At first I thought 'its ok, I'll wear a belt' but then I thought there's no way I'd buy a dress that big in a shop so shouldn't really be wearing it! I think I must be a 10-12 on the patterns regardless of mesurements. Yeah the waist looks OK in the end surprisingly!
