what a great thread!!
I threw out a batch cooked lamb and chick pea curry last night as tbh, it was disgusting. I forgot after we had it the first night to put into tubs and left on the work surface for two days so it was proper rank. Wont buy lamb again though.DFW 228 LONG H 68

Some white fish that I was going to make a curry with. For shame I felt really ill so ended up ordering in
Oh and I have some manky low fat cheese in the fridge growing something that I must remember to bin.
I have no space in my freezer as we did a big shop at the weekend and I cooked up a couple of meals - one of which was four portions even though there are only two of us. Maybe a couple of lunches so I don't end up binning those too.Debt at lightbulb moment (18 Aug 2009) 30933.95,Debt 1 July 2011 £9663.71Debt free date[STRIKE]February 2017[/STRIKE] September 20160 -
Trying to only buy what I need now so I don't throw out as much food...it's usually fruit and veg to be honest...and usually gets thrown out due to my lack of planning when it comes to meals.
recently been in India though, and seeing lots of people there begging for money and food and seeing lots of food going to waste in over-sized tourist portions in resturants has really given me the guilt about throwing food away....:: no Unapproved links in signatures please - MSE Forum Team ::0 -
We use to be so shameful...we would return from doing our shopping and have to clear out the fridge before we put it all away! We use to throw bags of stuff away
Packets of ham we had not got through, yogurts, fruit, mince, other meats...you get the idea
Shockingly we use to replace it all with new and repeat the process the following week! What a complete and shameful waste!
Yesterday all I chucked was 4 manky, soft and bendy carrots from the darkest depths of the veg drawer! Very happy!!Thankful For My LBM
