I think I missed something too f1charlie - unless Rizla actually meant Talkshop was taking the pi55... which seems more likely. If he can come up with a DVD recorder for effectively £55 with 2 or more of those features listed I am sure people here would be interested.

Ok rizla01, you had me going. I thought I was being thick there, although Talkshop does have a , so maybe his comments were tongue in cheek, so I thought you were pointing that out to me in a roundabout way - oh my head hurts!

Anyway, as I said, I've ordered one so I hope it's good.

Thank you to the OP, I ordered one earlier. :T

I am not heavily into recording, so I was looking for something cheap to record the occasional programme (and allow me to clear a few long standing recordings off my Sky+ box). This looks ideal!

By the way, a quick google turns up a multi-region hack.

As I said before Samsung insist that it plays DivX.
I'll be testing it with Xvid and DivX material when it arrives.
If it doesn't do what I want it to do, I can always return it.
