I wouldn't go near a standalone DVD player that can't record to DVD+RW (unless they were practically giving it away :) ).

    ...........WHY???

  • What inputs does it actually record onto DVD from?

for example if I connect my Sky+ box via scart into this DVD recorder, will I be able to transfer video content onto DVD from the Sky box's Hard disk?

Yes you'll be able to do that. i transfer a load of stuff onto mine. However you won't be able to put any box office movies on.

i think i will give this one a miss, it is missing too much stuff:

    1. no divx
    2. no dv input
    3. wont record on R+/RW+, i dont think it even reads them.
    4. no dvd ram
    5. no usb connection

Its £55 reduced from over £100 for heavens sake!

What you want will cost nearer to £100.

Could anyone confirm this can also act as a teasmade? If not, I'm not really interested...

... Some people really don't get the purpose of this thread - it's a bargain, available for a short time, if it's not for you then don't buy it - if you really want the Porsche of DVD's then what the hell are you doing reading this website anyway?

So does that mean it definately won't play/read DVD+R's?

    That sucks if true! :(

AFAIK Most DVD players/recorders play BOTH.
