In the USA the Divx is disabled for copyright reasons. Outside the USA it is enabled. If you look at Samsung.com you are looking at the USA version.Val0 -
can someone explain the clubcard stuff to me please.
I have a clubcard - how do I ensure I qualify for the points?
Do I just buy online with my normal debit card and does the checkout ask for my clubcard number?
Also how do get the vouchers to get the money back?!
thanks0 -
....
When you buy online from Tesco you will need to setup an account - at that time you enter your clubcard details in and then enter the e-voucher code - the points then appear automatically on your next clubcard statement.
Try doing your grocery shopping online - it's cheaper, easier, and you get lots more points when you find the codes at places like

You'll never shop in store again.0 -
Just for your info.
Enhanced Recording Features
DVD Recorders: The Difference Between DVD-R and DVD+R?
The Functional Differences
According to the claims of the DVD Alliance, using a DVD+R/+RW recorder will let you do the following:
1. Instantly eject without having to wait for finalized formatting.
2. Ability to record one DVD disc partially on PC and partially on television.
3. Background formatting: while the disc is being formatted, you can simultaneously record on already-formatted portions of the same disc.
4. Enhanced ability to edit filenames, movie and song titles, and playlists.
5. 100% compatibility with all other DVD players, while still enjoying these extra recording features.
To sum up.
DVD-RW
Backed by the DVD-Forum, it debuted outside Japan in 2001. The RW stands for rewritable, which means you can reuse a disc by copying over its previous content. This format is compatible with most players, but not as widely so as the write-once formats, and you must ‘finalise’ a disc before it can be played.
The discs are rated for around 1000 rewrite operations. Most DVD-RW drives can also burn in DVD-R format, and the Apple SuperDrive is a DVD-R/RW device.
DVD+RW
A rewritable format that’s functionally similar to DVD-RW, is reusable up to 1000 times and has similar compatibility with set-top DVD players. Because it appeared before DVD+R (2001), many of the older DVD+RW drives cannot burn in the write-once format, but all the new drives can do both. Backed by the DVD+RW Alliance, the newer plus standards are not as widely used as the dash formats, although they’re gaining a share in the market.
That should help you make yor mind up.
Anyway, I am just about to place an order for mine!
Good find and thanks OP for that.
Whoopee, New Toy!!

It says on the checkout that the code has knocked 13p off my order?? Is that right?I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!0

... did the same with mine - every little helps!0

I wouldn't go near a standalone DVD player that can't record to DVD+RW (unless they were practically giving it away
).

I'm sick of this site encouraging me to buy things that I don't need. Now I'll have to invent new uses for it.0

What inputs does it actually record onto DVD from?
for example if I connect my Sky+ box via scart into this DVD recorder, will I be able to transfer video content onto DVD from the Sky box's Hard disk?0 -
It does seem to be a pretty good machine for the money. I did a bit of online checking and people who have bought it seem to be generally happy with it. I bought one of these from Argos a couple of weeks ago for £99 - thankfully I then had a change of heart and took it back unopened. I'd have been pretty hacked off now that this offer has come up."Whatever happened to string?"0
