Mudbath and other lego collectors, boots are doing 3 for 2 with free delivery over 45 and points. There are loads of other toys included as well.

Rach you need to tell him kids are the start of a new life, a life full of new adventure and excitement. The chance to see and experience things through a childs eyes from a grown up perspective. As to timing if you try and plan it that precisely then you will never ave them so let nature take it's course.

a big compliment about the new bookcase.....even though it is quite shabby chic! ds1 likes it. but did add wonder how long it will be before its full of carp like the table!
Did you see the Tonight program, I think it was friday, it was all about "throw away britain" and they decorated a whole house for £400, using recycled furniture and reclaimed paint and it was absolutely gorgeous! They used all these bits of fabric in different patterns for the soft furnishings and made it all 60's style and it was so nice! I wanted to move there! The family were thrilled.

No the boss did not murder me, well spotted :p He is a she and nicknamed LBB (Little Big Boss) on account of her lack of stature! I emailed in response to one of the big big big bosses blogs on the intranet at work. Our branch has been refurbished but they have not and will not be touching the staff room. Given that they are spending over £40k I did not think it unreasonable for them to splash out on a pot of paint for the staff room. I never expected a response as usually these things disappear into the ether never to be heard of again. Anyway it seems someone is coming up from the smoke in response to my reply to see for themselves  which is why LBB wanted to murder me! Said I will speak to them, I shall also point out a few other points while they are there ;)
:T Good for you! You tell em girl! That happened to me when I worked at Waitrose, our branch was one of the first to get those stupid podium checkouts for people with baskets, and all these bigwigs came to see how we were finding it, and I was one of the people who had to talk to them and tell them how rubbish they were! In front of our really scary department manager too! I had to explain that the packing area was way too small and told them about when some beer fell off and landed on the head of a baby in a pushchair! Those things were full of faults, and it was really good to be able to explain to people who could make changes how we felt about them as the people who actually had to use them on a daily basis. Your staff room is an important place, it's where you recharge ready to go back into the fray, and it needs to be a nice place where you can relax.

Have a great time in Brighton Lady Liberty!

Glad to hear W is better, hope Miss A gets well soooooon!

    Hugs Serena

Sexy glad you’ve found such a helpful Union person to help you

Lilme, I hate having to get new tyres! When you think of all the nice things you could get for the money! Stupid potholey roads. It made me laugh in the tyre place tho as they had a display of all the things that can puncture your tyres, the usual things, nails, sharp stuff, and then there was a pair of nail scissors! :confused:I said to DH why on earth did they put nail scissors there? They are suddenly going to leap out of the bathroom and stab your tyres? :rotfl:

Frodders, hope it goes well on Tues. Are you still off work while you are getting counselling? The Star Wars magnet figures are so cool! I’m really tempted! We watched the Empire Strikes Back last night, brilliant!

Mudbath Ebay has loads of lego chewbaccas and not bad prices either

Mummyof5 how scary, glad your lad is ok now, sounds terrifying

    Hugs Diva

Thifty hope your observation goes well tomorrow

Very tired today, combination of heavy rain and tummy issues disturbing my sleep last night. Going to try to go out this afternoon to my Bible meeting and I think that will probably be it for today. See you all later xx

Piggers - i'm very jealous of you getting another puddy cat.

Pigpen - You are turning into Mrs Moggs and her 26 cats in front of me. Very jealous. Be careful though if he is an mature unfixed tom. Pre children (and pre this husband!) I took one in after he was shot with an air rifle, had him fixed and he then terrorised my other three cats and ended up attacking me quite badly a few months later when I dared intervene. Only cat I have ever been scared of! The CPL rehomed him as 'Tommy - a lovely freindly family cat'

I only have 6 .. 1 stray we took in last night and the stray we feed daily.. she is spayed and beautiful and friendly.

Getting out of bed shortly and will dress me then the chrismas tree.. set the children about it with baubles.. then they are off to daddy's for tea..

He asked me if the children etc were ok and whether I enjoyed the actual teaching, which I do, and he advised that the in-school rep go to the management and tell them that the members were unhappy. He's also dubious about the reason given on my contract, as to why it is temporary in the first place. I have to call him back in January to discuss this further. To be honest though, I'm quite glad that the contract is temporary as it gives me an out. He said that I could resign at the end of the spring term, but that if the problems were resolved, staying would be a better option. He also said that the intimidating management style was a country-wide problem (particularly the part about the constant drop-ins). I told him that I would feel bad about leaving the kids part-way through the year, but at some point, I had to put my health and myself first, as they wouldn't be getting the best from me anyway if I were to continue being so stressed out. Spoke to my Mum about that part, and she agrees with what I'm saying, but she also said that the kids would be heart-broken, as they've built up a good bond with me.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

  • Well, sexy that sounds ok. Remember, though, that no-one's education is worth the loss of your marbles. You'll find, when you get through your NQT year, and get in a decent school, that you'll really fly (no pun intended) there are good management teams out there, in fact I have just escaped a school like yours to find one, and its sooo refreshing.

Second coat of wax about to be brushed off, then just have to sand the filler, clear out the bits and pieces, and clean the fireplace and floor, ready for Mr Decorator.
