Morning all
The weather kept waking me up in the night so I'm a bit bleary eyed. I need to go get food in a bit. I think I'll take advantage of the half hour "browsing" at Tesco at 9.30I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Froddington - I agree - a valid investment. I have quite a few collectable childrens and illustrated books for similar reasons. I like them, and one day I will sell them.
Pigpen - You are turning into Mrs Moggs and her 26 cats in front of me. Very jealous. Be careful though if he is an mature unfixed tom. Pre children (and pre this husband!) I took one in after he was shot with an air rifle, had him fixed and he then terrorised my other three cats and ended up attacking me quite badly a few months later when I dared intervene. Only cat I have ever been scared of! The CPL rehomed him as 'Tommy - a lovely freindly family cat' :eek:
I spent most of yesterday in the garden which was nice. One half of the veg plot has now been cleared of weeds and dug over. The other half left to do today or it will not get done before spring. Given that I abandoned the veg garden when I go tied up in the nasty TUPE late spring this has been a major job. We also got some of the loft boarded and most of my sisters stuff up there, the Christmas stuff down (saves doing it later in the week), and DH has managed to fit a level false floor to the bathrooom to be so we can get on in there now :T. A productive day all round.
DS1 wants these pictures: :snow_laug_party_:santa2: because he is off to his first pantomime on Monday.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

Tootles - your list is very long, no over doing it now or stripes will come and visit and then you really will have chaos! xx
OK - I need a plan (and a kick up the ***)
Shower - dress
Put away yesterday's washing
Go and get mixed spice
Make cake (dried fruit has been soaking overnight)0 -
Best of luck for your observation tomorrow thifty - is there anything I can help with?
Plans for today:
Take OH food shopping (he's agreed as I persuaded him that he couldn't go shooting at the outside range due to the horrible weather - we've had lots of hail this morning);
Do literacy plans for the week and find resources for them;
Find maths resources;
Find lesson ideas for PE for Spring plans;
Mark some of the literacy books (at least half);
Change sheets;
Do washing;
Dust and hoover;
Prepare lunch for tomorrow;
Email plans to colleagues;
Wrap some Christmas presents
Think that'll be enough - some of those things will take a while. We're going to be doing a whole school maths assessment at some time this week, that needs to be marked by the following week, so no peace for the wicked.
Definitely got that Sunday feeling today.

Well both kids slept ok last night. W seems to be fully recoveredMiss A is still not feeling so good. Was sick immediately after having calpol for her headache
I think part of that was caused by her moving from her bed to the settee, I always feel funny when I start moving around again. She is currently in our bed where it is quiet. I think she is on the mend though. Thanks for all the hugs and wishes for them both.

An'W'sMum - Miss sure is lucky - I've got nothing but water from those stalls! Hope she feels better soon
She is so lucky Dusty, I never choose as then we lose! W managed to pick a winner as wellAt least 2 of those will be going in hampers for Christmas presents so well worth the investment :rotfl:
That cake looks fab, I think you should be card post person and put a cake like that in each parcel as well
No the boss did not murder me, well spottedHe is a she and nicknamed LBB (Little Big Boss) on account of her lack of stature! I emailed in response to one of the big big big bosses blogs on the intranet at work. Our branch has been refurbished but they have not and will not be touching the staff room. Given that they are spending over £40k I did not think it unreasonable for them to splash out on a pot of paint for the staff room. I never expected a response as usually these things disappear into the ether never to be heard of again. Anyway it seems someone is coming up from the smoke in response to my reply to see for themselves :eek: which is why LBB wanted to murder me! Said I will speak to them, I shall also point out a few other points while they are there
He just finds two smallish boys hard work (no hope for him if we have kids then!)
You will be surprised by him, when it's your own kids he develop infinite patience.
Glad your DS is ok Mummyof5 and never feel a fraud for doing what your instincts tell you where children are concerned.
Triker have you accidentially switched on the accessibility options? Sometimes using those means you have to use the keyboard less, hope that makes sense.Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -

AF and accompanying tummy ache here with avengeanceI was up in the night popping paracetamol as I couldn't sleep with it. Slept in til 9.15 when DH woke me trying to quietly (not that quiet then!) get dressed.
Need to leave for friends in about an hour, am pondering over which route to take, think we'll risk the blackwall tunnel and avoid the M25 as it will be a nightmare around bluewater/lakeside, can never remember which it is!
Must get some breakfast.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
:hello:Hi sexymouse! I'm doodling around on here when I should be working - I'll get started in a minute! Glad to see you seem a lot happier than last week. What is it with this assessment all the time?? When on earth do you find time to teach?? I have a massive load of stuff to get done by tomorrow - all next week's lessons in detail plus resources, work to set for Thusday when I'm out on a course (at the Hilton Kensington, I know how to pick a course!!;)), and also two things to prepare for our dept meeting tomorrow. I don't feel like doing any of it.
I have been doing a bit of flying, but not entire lists - may squeeze in a few 'finishing off' jobs later.
Love the Lego Star Wars stuff - we had loads of it when DS1 was younger, and have now passed on most of it to my nephew, although DS1 did make quite a decent profit on ebay with some of them. I don't think we ever had any of the very big sets though.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -

Hope so...I'm trying to persuade him thus at the moment! And also that having kids is not an end to life!! I think I remember dusty saying recently that her husband was a bit ambivalent to having kids, that's how DH is. Hoping Christmas with his little niece who he adores will help! It's a timing issue for us, but my feeling is there's never a perfect time so should just get on with it.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0
