Do I miss something? Premier 600 is £55p.m.=9.17p/min. This doesn't look like the cheapest way to call abroad for me

EDIT: I used s-f to call abroad too - when I had 200 minutes per month on cashback deal (free phone and free minutes). And I was not able to use all 200 minutes for UK calls. However, Premier 600 is definitely something different from a free cashback contract. And I think somebody paying 55p.m. for mobile is very likely to have a landline as well ...

Grumbler raises an excellent point, one which i have mentioned before. The calls are not free, they come out of your inclusive minutes which you have paid for.So lets say you got 200 cross network minutes and you paid £25 for them your calls are costing you 12.5p a min. Therefore it is not always the cheapest way to phone some destinations.Nevertheless
its a nice way to use up your spare minutes.

yes, but don't forget to call many international mobile phones does cost 15p+ from companies like 1899 etc. And of course the benefit of Simply Fone is that you can call from anywhere (you have mobile reception), plus the 12.5p/min you've quoted above I assume is ignoring any kind of rental fee? For instance if it was a BT line there would be a standard £10.50/month before you get anywhere.

As always there are pros and cons but providing people don't go mad, signing up for mobile phones just for the "free" minutes via 07744 numbers then we'll be fine.

    cheers,
    Richard.

I was merely pointing out the true cost of the call.Obviously it depends on what tariiff you are on as to what your call actually costs you.
I did also say it was not always the cheapest way.The purpose of my comment was to get people to consider if they could get it cheaper,or use their free minutes more effectively, after all this site is all about money saving, is it not.
You do have to be careful also not to overrun your inclusive minutes, and start paying for calls at an expensive cross network rate.

Having said that its good to see the Orange Access back.Especially since we recently lost Pre-Dial.

Oops - I have an o2 contract with 12 months cash back and the handset flogged on ebay specifally to use simply-fone (and 08 numbers) and will be getting a second one soon as my double minutes have just run out...

And yes this does work out as FREE calls by anyones definition.
    I think....

i agree with Michael ,there are lot of cash back deals around now.

    full year line rental FREE
    200-400 minutes every month FREE
    mobile phone FREE
call 07744 anywhere in the world ABSOLUTELY FREE
i am using above deals for years. no cost at all,i n reality i was making profit £50-100 on each contract by selling phone & getting free minutes for a year.
