How big are the bottles? Pork casseroles are what jumps to mind, but I'd also consider a wassailing mulled cider punch with them......if diluted with apple juice and spices it won't be so toxic, surely?0

What can I do with tinned salmon?
I am sure I am way to late for this, but a tin of salmon I find a useful stand by for a salmon souffl!. Big souflles rather than little ones, are simple, and useful midweek suppers, with some salad for freshness. They are nice with Asian flavours. One of the few fusion foods I really do regularly.0 -
We have a500ml bottle and a 750ml bottle.
My husband prefers the fizzy, light cider but my lovely parents 'treat' him with a bottle of the proper stuff every time they visit family in Somerset.
The wassailing cider punch sounds like a great idea -could do for when we have people round for dinner.
I will do a search for a cider punch-thanks:TStashbusting 2019 - 230/3000 -

Ah, yes, wel I know that zumerzet zider well. If its good follow previous suggestions. If its something social from the shed of some guy with a dodgy nickname or given with a shifty glance from under a bar in a small pub then use to strip paint and remove limescale :rotfl:

Is it me or am I the only one who gets stuck for what to do with the green pepper that is always in a pack of three peppers I normally chop and slice it up and freeze it then just chuck some into soups or casseroles I just wonder what recipes anyone else uses that has green peppers (I also seem to get given my DDs surplus ones as they know I hate binning anything:):)) Ideas for a green pepper recipe would be great0

I used up dried peas by using them as a filling for my draft excluders and door-stoppers.
JackieO you're not alone, I'm not keen on green peppers either! I do the3 same as you, slicing them up for the freezer. I reckon they'd be much nicer with some strong flavourings like garlic, smoked paprika, spices etc, and are quite tolerable in black bean sauce etc.
I've got a turnip, a big one, given to me kindly by a friend who doesn't eat them. Can I do something better than chopping into chunks and boiling it?

I have quite a lot of fresh corriander left over and am a bit in dark on how to use it up. Usually I freeze it (I simply chuck it in the freezer in the bag it came) but Ifind that it sits in my freezer and never gets used as the corriander seems to crumble (for want of a better description?!) so I end up binning it. Any ideas on what to do with it?
pea & coriander soup.
Fry an onion off until very soft, add a couple of handfuls of frozen peas, stock & simmer until peas are tender (not long, don't overcook)
Add coriander & whizz up in blender. S&P to taste. It should be a thick gloopy soup that warms you up on a really cold day"Science is a wonderful thing if one does not have to earn one's living at it" Einstein 19510 -
I use green peppers and coriander to make a pungent green sauce....chuck into a food processor a roughly chopped pepper, some garlic, a large handful of coriander and a splash of red wine vinegar and olive oil, process and then serve on hot new potatoes, nom nom!!Mortgage 12.12.12 £55842 12.12.13 £42716 14.12.14 £28837 13.12.15 £25913

Mash it up, and mix it in with mashed potatoes, it's scrummy.
Turnip Gratin....never made this myself, but am going to give it a try, it sounds lovely.
