This part of MSE is a treasure trove. Every time I log on I find more treasures thanks to being pointed in the right direction so I was wondering if there is anywhere which gives a typical store cupboard?

    Thanks.

Im cooking another curry today which will do for my dinner tonight and Monday :D. I bought the meat from my local butcher - im hoping it will be ok. It was certainly cheaper to buy from the butchers than from the supermarket. I also bought some steak from the butchers so a mini mixed grill tomorrow night :j

I want to try and meal plan today if I can.... I will try to plan for the whole month. will post later to let you know how I get on :D

    Hi Guy's,

Trying to get some batch cooking done today for the rest of the month, Any idea's what i can do with a whole chicken and Some (leeks, Onions, Carrot's, Peppers and courgettes) Also have potato's but i tend to leave potato's out of freezer meals and bung them in seperate at the time.

I was thinking of maybe cooking the chicken on it's own then creating a cassarole type deal after i'd stripped it, but thats what i always do .. yawn.

What about a lovely chicken, celery and leek pie? Use the potatoes as the "pie top" and whip up a basic roux for the pie sauce? Ooo me mouth's watering just thinking about it!!

LOL, well I call it a roux...lol Plain flour and butter in the pan and mix well, then start adding a little milk at a time to soften the4 mixture and eventually you get a lovely creamy sauce...I then sneak in a wee stock cube to make it chickeny and add some herbs, then pour onto the chicken and veg in the pie dish, cover with potatoes and a cheese topping and stick it in the oven to cook.
