Thanks MileySmiley. How much ginger would I need? I know I have some in the freezer that I have never used. I think that's it in cubes. Will I still need to add a sauce of some description, i.e. would it be a bit dry like this?
Thanks also for the suggestion about the egg as I have one in the fridge which is a week out of date but will probably still be fine.Grocery aim £450pm.Spent £519 August, £584 July, £544 June, £541 May, £549 April, £517 March, £517 Feb,£555 Jan, £573 Dec, £465Nov, £561Oct, £493Sept, £426Aug,£496 Jul, £528Jun, £506May,£498April, £558 March, £500Feb, £500 Jan, £490 Dec, £555 Nov,£566 Oct, £505Sept, £450Aug, £410 July, £437 June, £491 May, £471 April, £440 March, £552Feb, £462Jan0 -

Got boat loads of raspberry sauce left - any ideas what I can do with it?

You could always freeze it and use later over ice cream. I hate throwing juice like that out and usually add it to the next batch of soft fruits when I do summer pudding.0 -
We have fish pie that I froze last week, but I need to go freezer diving for some veg."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Hi there Sally, I did this with beef at the weekend. Cut your chicken into thin strips and roll in flour. Finely chop whatever veg you have in the fridge (carrots, onions, cabbage in mine plus beansprouts). Pour oil into a wok, fry chicken which will stick to the sides and look burnt, don't worry. Add veg and stir round and over to cook it all. Add lots of soy sauce, garlic, and some sugar. When the carrots are `al dente' add water from the tap - a little bit about a cup full. This then makes the gravy for your stryfry as the chicken juice and flour that got cooked onto the wok thickens the sauce. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed...

Thanks Sassers. I did what you suggested plus a bit of ginger & egg noodles (plus my out of date egg with my rice). It was fine, although I think next time I might add a bit of Chinese 5 spice in order to give it a bit of oomph!Grocery aim £450pm.Spent £519 August, £584 July, £544 June, £541 May, £549 April, £517 March, £517 Feb,£555 Jan, £573 Dec, £465Nov, £561Oct, £493Sept, £426Aug,£496 Jul, £528Jun, £506May,£498April, £558 March, £500Feb, £500 Jan, £490 Dec, £555 Nov,£566 Oct, £505Sept, £450Aug, £410 July, £437 June, £491 May, £471 April, £440 March, £552Feb, £462Jan0

Well, this isn't going to sound very helpful...you could eat the chocolate! Use the puddingy things as they are. After that I think you could make anything you wanted. WHat about doing some granola, that would get rid of some fruits, seeds and nuts. Seeds also good in bread.
Gingerbread would be possible, fruit and nut would lend themselves to florentines, nice this time of year, you could back with chocolate and then drizzle some of the white choc.
I did this thing with the list a few weeks ago, will try and find the thread, back in a minute. try this http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2089889&highlight="Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Thanks purpleivy - will have a check back on your thread.
Would love an easy and I mean really easy way of using up the bread flours.
As for poppy seeds - 2 bags I think I must have been thinking poppy seeds/opium or something when I bought those :rotfl:
I think I am going to try and make a white chocolate and cranberry (forgot to list those) fudge for DD to take to school for teachers (they like HM stuff at xmas). Dont like dark chocolate but can easily lose the buttons.
Have already made sausage rolls and 2 lots of muffins today and dont always have the time.
Also I am Gluten free diet, hubby doesnt have a sweet tooth but the kids do, oh and apricots to eat give me really bad tummy ache
Will look up recipes for granola and florentines (never made them before)

xanthan gum (for GF baking)Wow you have a lot of stuff! Think you could set up your own bread and cake stall with that amount. Mind you, there is also quite a bit of stuff in my bakery cupboard aswell.
Can I just ask you where you get your G/F pastry cases from? I've never seen them anywhere. I also have xanthan gum in my cupboards (for DS who has Coeliac disease as well as diabetes) although I think it is a bit out of date now but have to confess I have never used it.
