Does anyone have a carbonara recipe that is simple to follow, as that is next on the menu?
I should say we have been seeing each other for a couple of months now, but he has only stayed twice, last night being the second time. I still feel nervous cooking for him though.Been here for a long time and don't often post

Doing well out of the stores today, managing a 3 course dinner for us and visitors buying nothing except 2 red peppers and some cream:T
HM lentil soup with stock and veggies from freezer.
Bread in the breadmaker.
Sirloin steaks, mushrooms, shallots and peppers and roast potatoes
Summer pudding using the fruit from the freezer & cream
While raking about for bits for the above found enough cooked HM meals to last for the rest of the week so don't need to do any more cooking today.0 -
I know exactly what you mean although I am not a good cook really, (or should I say I am a lazy cook) I just chuck most things in the SC. When I was dating at the beginning of the year we used to just get takeaways as I am SOOOOO nervous cooking for other people, maybe thats why I am still single now lol
Our tastebuds are basic, i dont like garlic or spicy things, or currys etc. and the kids dont like new things but I a really trying to do new stuff. Have been using the SC more these days
Am going to try the meatball recipe tho with the eggs and breadMPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

Thanks Pammy, the meatballs was a success, but I overcooked it while looking after the pasta, it was still nice though, so my only tip watch the timings !! I tend to try things out on the kids first because luckily they will eat most things and my son (24) will be brutally honest with me he did two years at college to train to be a chef so can spot a mistake very easily, he didnt go on to finish though and prefers taking his time experimenting at home with ideas.
