Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
My freezer situation is starting to get desperate - my meat order is arriving in 2 weeks and I have nowhere near enough room for it yet - so I sat down last night and put together a meal plan for the next two weeks using only stuff from the freezer, plus veg from my veg box. At the end of that I should have enough room to fill the freezer up again. (That doesn't make much sense, does it? Oh well, you know what I mean, I hope!)

Tonight's dinner is beef and ale stew, so a half-pack of stewing steak has come out of the freezer for that. (On my meal plan it was going to be steak and ale pie, but I really want to try Xspender's butterscotch upside down cake, and I couldn't manage pie and cake in one meal (not without regretting it, anyway! :p))
Back after a very long break!

:p As I've not bought tinned tomatoes for a couple of months, and we eat a lot of tomato-based sauces, imagine how many I had at the end of the summer  :o :rotfl:

DH and I have proudly finished a bottle of gin as part of the store cupboard challenge. Only problem is that we're not allowed to buy another until we've moved house.... in mid-December! :D

I think I've got 8 stashed under the stairs!

Whoops! Can't resist when they are on special offer in packs of 4!

The jar of korma is gone and the chicken thighs

Tomorrow will be a pie out of the freezer (hoping its nice as it is Lime Tree Pantry) with frozen veg.

Space reclaiming going well and also the baking ingredients are reducing well for a change with all the baking and pickling that I'm doing

Morning all, Friday at last :j and shopping tonight.

Nice pork & celery Greekish casserole out of freezer for tea. (Last 2 weeks I have treated myself to takeaway curry but have to stop that as a bit expensive )

Didn't manage to get shopping list done at work yesterday, still too busy, so planning to do on bus on way in ;)

Getting swine flu jab at work today (work in hospital ward) so hope I feel OK over weekend

    Have a happy Friday everyone

Hope you feel ok after your swine flu jab. I had mine on Monday - swine flu in one arm and normal flu jab in the other. I was warned i may be 'feeling sorry for myself by thursday' according to my ward sister but i have felt absoloutly fine!

As for the store cupboard challenge -my dad forgot to take us shopping for our big shop this weekend so more insentive to use up the food from our cupboards and freezer.

Trying to use things from my pantry as this is a tight month. Today I used half a tin of tuna and combined it ith an apple and onion for lunch. It was surprisingly nice:D I'll have the other half tomorrow:money:
