I really need to get stuck into this now. It look like my emigrating date will now be august not october, so it's a case of everything must go. Am going to update the freezer list over the weekend and add in the storecupboard stuff ( anything bigger than herbs or spices). That's going to be a lot of stuff, but i need to be focussed and get stuck in here.Eat food, not edible food-like items. Mostly plants.0

Think of how much better you will feel when it's done though! It may not be as daunting as you think.
Good luck!
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

I've made some really nice soup, using all my left over (manky looking) vegetables mixed with lentils, onions, garlic, and spices.
It sounds revolting because I used 2 week old brussel sprouts, broccoli stalks that I mean't to use about 10 days ago, old carrots, 3 week old potatos, plus a red pepper, tomatos, and some sweet potatos thrown in for good measure. I just cut off any bits that were really wilted or gone over and kept my fingers crossed. I didn't have much choice because our fridge freezer had broken down and I have had nowhere to store food, and as they were only vegetables I knew they were fine to eat.
Everybody really liked it. It lasted 3 days. Rather than waste going over vegetables, I shall definitely do again.0 -

Yes you can make it out af anything (anything edible anyway!). I like cooking, but I prefer easy one pot meals, or bung everything in the oven jobs. My stockpot and slow cooker get loads of use. Easy! :beer:0 -
