Eeek .. ok any hints or tips .. because when i open my cuboards they are heaving and i REALLY REALLY have no idea where to start.
Hi Taye, I am very similar to you and what you described - i justify it to myself all the time.
When I started to change my shopping habits I wrote down everything I had in my pull out larder and freezer in a book and started to work my way through it, crossing it off when it was gone!
I have fallen off the wagon slightly with this and your post has reminded me to hop back on and have another go at the storecupboard for the next 8 days. I have enough to feed myself for probably 4 weeks really and I need to recognise this again.

Hiya
I have a few 'lurrkers' in my cupbaord.. does anyone have any ideas for these?
Instant Oats - We don't have time in the morning rush for porridge, and the childminder does weetabix for both boys at hers..
Advent calendar chocolate and odd bits floating around - any ideas what I can make with these?
I don't have tonnes of time as we both work full time so any ideas that don't need ages would be ideal please.
I realise Twicks Hobnobs are a no-go here as the porrige it always ground down very fine...
Thanks everyone! :beer:Dream of being mortgage free....

Make some flapjack with bashed up chocolate in it instead of raisins - or melt it down and drizzle it over the top, thus earning Cordon Bleu points
Remember to use non-stick baking paper though. Otherwise, it'll never come out of the tin0 -

Trust me if you had to eat everything in my freezers and cupboards within six months there is no way you will be able to fit in any chocolates, in fact its likely you wouldnt be able to move.
I been bad again, just been to Asda and couldnt resist stocking up on the 2 for £3 rice deal! :rotfl:0 -

Would it work though as the quick oats are really finely ground up...? I'm used to making flap jacks with 'proper' oatsApril 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -
I'm going to have another go at this. Unfortunately I went to Asda last night and managed to spend £20 over my budget which means I have just £5.58 to see me through until the 1st  I bought 3kg of pasta for £2 last night, and some curry sauce packets (said 38p each on the shelf went through the till at 4 for £1
) and pesto again
So meal wize I'm sorted, I'm just hoping DD doesn't go on another marathon fruit eating session! I'm going to have to buy some milk as well at some point..would really like to stretch the longlife stuff I have in but I know it won't last another 10 days.
Will list what I have in later when I get in from work.Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
