  • Hi everyone

regan.lottie - well done on your competition win...what did you win?

spent £6 on milk and a few other bits at the shop...so that takes me to £3 i think

Bit gutted as got loads of work to have done at the dentist and got to find £195 : ( Ive put the work off until Jan as theres no way I can find that with christmas approaching! !
My dentist doesnt understand that I cant afford it - (annoying as I only just paid out that ammount for other work a couple of months ago) so the new boots are a distant dream now as the clothes budget has gone into 'pay the dentist to stop the toothache fund' so not a good day for me so far.

But hey its friday tommorow so nearly the weekend : )

    Hope everyones doing well

  • NSD today :) I did go into Makro to look at prices of food to see if it will be cheaper to buy in bulk there, but took no money with me, so no impulse buying... nothing says "NO!" to shopping like zero pounds in your wallet!
  • Hi all! hope everyone is doing well :)

chuggingtongirl - Thank you!! It's the first thing I've ever won so I wasn't really paying much attention but I know I won a cocktail shaker, flashing ice cubes and I think something else, but I'm definitely not complaining as that will probably make a good christmas present!

Today has been another good one for me, spent the inevitable train fare home to see the parents, 2 pounds (glad my dad bought me a railcard) but I know I'm being taken shopping to buy a nice dress for OH's xmas ball and some cake tins etc so I can get on with some baking (I love it and it means cheaper treats :D).

  • Happy Friday budgeteers,

I went out for dinner last night with a very good friend and had a brilliant time but I am not counting that out of the weekly budget.

chuggingtongirl sorry to hear about the toothache I hope it gets better soon.

    Hi all,
    Payday today for me!
Yay ... I am doing quite well this week with 3 NSDs and have only spent about £33 out of my £50. Am going to try and stretch the rest to last the weekend.
Think will be a lot harder next week as I really didn't need to do a proper food shop, instead got loads from my bf when he cleaned out his fridge and freezer before he went on hols.
Couldn't resist a £10 spa day from lastminute, 3 of my girlfriends and I managed to bag, so we'll do a girlie day next year with a bit of pampering.
So good to know that everyone struggled when they first started and are doing so well now!!!
Have a great Friday, it's nearly the weekend!

  • Hi all. This is my first challenge & though I'm posting towards the end of the week, I've been working on a £20 a week budget for incidental spend.

Perhaps my allowance was a little high as I've had a really good week - spent only £10.70 and that included the £5 I got fleeced on at my 5 year old's Rainbows Xmas Fayre lol ! Other spend went on a pack of Lemsip (£2.50), lunch on day forgot sarnies (soup & roll £1.20), cups of tea at work (£2)

I have stayed away from town at lunchtimes which has helped a lot!!

Have to buy cakes for work on Monday cos its my birthday - so just as well I can carry some over from this week (is that allowed?)
