Being a ticket inspector is great fun. I am very lucky to work on a rural line though so its quiet especially this time of year. Most of the trains are carrying the farmers' wives to market! Lol. Except the school trains and thats another story!Debt free since 18/11/2011

HI!!! sorry for the late check in, we were away for the weekend in the lakes with no internet (was bliss), and just got back home.
Spent £5 last week... hmmm I think I will stick to £15 again this week, just because I think I will feel deprived at £10, even if I don't spend it.0 -
Spent £3 this afternoon on 30 mini tupperwares... ALMOST the same (only a little flimsy) as the ones I bought for nearly £7 (for 10) in lakeland... *cries*
so that's £12 left for the week, not like me to spend money on a monday!0 -
Hi everyone
£3 today for me spent on sweets and eggs for baking as Im on a baking mission tommorow : ) so im down to £14
I want to try and save something this month as Ive seen some lovely long boots in next and they are £55 but my budget is £40 for clothes this month.I never ever buy clothes or shoes for me so Im convincing myself but I need to 'find' the extra £15 from another budget! I do need them too so that doesnt help the decision!and I will wear them loads....see Im convincing myself to overspend!! but if I can save £5 each week I can have them in three weeks : ) which is good as delivery time is 2-4 weeks on them! (see they are destined to be mine!)

Evening all,
£5 on fruit and snacks for work this should hopefully do me the whole week and then some.
True, I work for a bank (the evil investment kind:rolleyes:) I do enjoy it most of the time but Mondays are the worst. I am also a part-time law student (on a year break at the moment) as I know I cannot be doing the same job in 10 years so need a plan.
pink_numbers I hope you enjoyed your break away.
chuggington girl, I know what you mean about the boots I bought a new pair last week and have been living in them.Weekly Spend Challenge: £0/£30

Well, I guess you see the reality of money working at a bank! Did it change the way you view money?
Had a nice holiday, with a £25 voucher to spend while I was there. Also, due to the flooding, we got additional £50 voucherWe had so many vouchers, we struggled to use up the £25 in the first place (had to be used in THAT trip), and brought the £50 voucher home with us (can be spent at any time).
We got 4 starbucks drinks, 4 x 2l bottle of diet coke, a bag of popping corns (made two HUGE batches out of it, still have half the bag left), a bag of christmas blend coffee from starbucks, and lots of other things!
Now you can't get a better holiday than that!0 -

Morning all,
NSD for me yesterday, finished off the xmas shopping but thats out of a different pot.
ooo a bank pointy? do you have lots of control over other peoples money? what made you choose law? i'm a qualified lawyer but after 7 years training and 10 years working in family law i couldn't take any more! i'm currently studying computer networking, which is ok but the programming side of things bores me silly! give me a cable and let me crawl under floorboards anyday!
how long have you been childminding chuggingtongirl? what do you fancy retraining in?Paddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840 -
