Spent £3.50 at WW today, possible bus ride tomorrow, though I'm hoping to get a lift home instead- so should stay on budget!

    Morning all,

NSD for me yesterday, finished off the xmas shopping but thats out of a different pot.

ooo a bank pointy? do you have lots of control over other peoples money? what made you choose law? i'm a qualified lawyer but after 7 years training and 10 years working in family law i couldn't take any more! i'm currently studying computer networking, which is ok but the programming side of things bores me silly! give me a cable and let me crawl under floorboards anyday!

how long have you been childminding chuggingtongirl? what do you fancy retraining in?

Nah not control over people's money mainly just the bank's. I sometimes deal with humongous sums but it is not real money when it is not yours, just numbers on a screen.

I choose law as I am quite analytical and like constructing arguements. Not sure if I will like being a lawyer or be any good at it but I am enjoying the learning. I think the idea of being in my head is much nicer than the reality of it. What was the best and worst thing about law when you did it?

Today I spent £3 in canteen at work on breakfast and munchies.

Today I spent £1.29 on a foul mc donalds burger but needed to socialise with friends (I can't afford to go out much) and I was hungry!

I specialised in family matters so the best bit for me was making a genuine difference to peoples lives and actually helping them to get through the most difficult time of their lives. The hardest part was when you knew that your client was in the wrong. I remember one man coming to me with divorce papers from his wife citing violence who sat in front of me and said "yeah i did it, so can you get me the house?".... that was a toughy.
True...I want to do be a teaching assistant.I want to do a NVQ in sept .I have always wanted to do it but never got motivated but really fed up at the moment so been researching it alot.

Hoping for no spend day tommorow as those boots need to be mine!

Do you need a placement or can you do the NVQ at College?

Good luck on the boots :D!!

How long have you been a paramedic? Did you have to do a degree to get into it or is it on the job training?

Hoping for a NSD again today!! Good luck all!
