Just had my Vanquis call, they asked for my direct debit details then said if I get the account blah blah blah they'll be in contact... but taking DD details must mean I've got it? I wanted to know my limit but thought I better not ask that as she never said I had it haha

You need to get the Flybe I think, as these somehow give better limits - but remember Innocent and my files are ok, we also have higher limit cards.....

I dunno how they work, I do have a mate that works for them but he doesn't say much at all - only their scoring processes so wouldn't help much in my asking him!!

My file is perfect no defaults,no ccj, never missed a payment and i have a flybe card..
Also applied and got accepted for the silver & days card but closed them down straight away do to low limits of £750 and £1000,also my credit file must be good to be accepted for a LOB card..

Quality, and these lot stick the limit up every few months unlike Crap1 :D

Funny thing was going through security... confirm my name, DOB, address... then she asked for my home phone number haha. I was thinking hmmm should I give 01234 000000 or should I say I haven't got one, so I said I haven't got one, so she said what about work and mobile so I said yea mobile and confirmed the one she was calling. Wonder if I'll get it before my holiday haha

How do you know if i've got CPD marker with Lloyds TSB? I rang Phonebank to see and they fobbed me off with "You need privacy Guard to check you credit rating" I was like oh yea, whatever!! I only opened the account yesterday, but I want to know. :o

I read up a bit from what simax and iZools have been saying they're a pain to have removed.

I don't think you'll have it by default, they don't really give you a "rating" until you've held the account for 3-6 months.

You can always ask, but even if you don't they won't give you any credit like a loan or CCard because it's a brand new account.

Phonebank can't tell you if there's a CPD marker or what your risk score is, but there is another phone team that can tell you. I forget the name of the team in question though :(

Either way, Sygma will always be there to give us lot half decent credit cards :o

Evening all. Went to Apple store today to get an iPhone 4 32GB on Orange. I was very nervous when the screen said 'Performing credit check, please wait' but thankfully I passed no problems. Love the new phone. :D

Thanks. Haha they accepted me when I had my initial spree (just got the o2 contract, just got Natpest and applied for everything else under the sun) but they wanted ID and other stupidness (I don't actually know why, I was on the electoral roll for sure on the CRA I checked, maybe they checked a different one that hadn't updated - only added myself in April) so I turned it down because I realised they didn't have online servicing and I didn't want to risk a late/missed payment....

A few months later online servicing appears  So I apply and get rejected, then get rejected again 6 months later, and referred last night. Only applied because I got bored, didn't think I'd get it!

Maybe it's to do with profitibility? If you are older or have a longer record of paying on time perhaps they don't like you? I pay mine on time but I've got about 2k available credit, which is a lot on a student loan! So maybe they hope I'll take more and mess about/pay minimums etc and give them a load of interest/charges?? She seemed shocked when she went on about minimum DD and I said I wanted the full amount :rotfl:

I'm going to pop to the council office and pay it, clearly stating I'm paying it under protest (as to not miss the 14 day discounted fine) then send in an appeal.

You CANNOT pay then appeal, it's either/or.

Do a search for pepipoo, they'll sort you out.
