£748 at the moment. I would imagine they're waiting to drop it again next time I clear a chunk... which will be soon. I think the sooner I can pay it off and close it the better. As then I can apply for a Barclaycard Gold or Flexi Rate sooner :o

I have a flat mate now (sharing the costs) so it should be all gone in a couple of months :D

If Barclaycard are trying to hack your limit down, then its unlikely they'll want to accept you for a better product surely?

From my experience with Barclaycard, I'd hang onto your Initial, look after the account, and when they start increasing your credit limit again, look to ask them to upgrade it.

Izools you say you have barclaycard well if that card you have is a visa card, why dont you apply for a barclaycard mastercard, then you wont have to wait until you close your barclaycard you have now or wait for gold, why not either thomas cook, orange,or hilton honours, these 3 are barclaycard mastercards.

12 searches in the last six months.

Plus the "Existing Customer" application page on the Barclaycard website has broken, if you use the link they have for Breathe it says "think about this card if... you aren't already an existing customer". They don't do phone applications either.

Why would they cut his limit one day, and then lend him more money on a second credit card the next day!?!

That, too, is another very valid point.

I think they just want to make sure I can handle the two sygma cards and will happily trust me again once they've been open a while... that is of course nothing other than assumption based on not much atall :p

Well the reason is TFD is because i got turned down for barclaycard,3 days later applied for the leeds card which is barclaycard and they accepted me,to be honest its hard to tell how banks go about things,by the way how come you have 4 barclaycards..

Agreed that different products will be scored differently, but would frankly shocked if they were to give him another card at this stage.

As for why I have 4 Barclaycards.... why not? I have a Gold, Breathe, OnePulse and Hilton - all of which they seem happy to issue alongside each other!

Doesn't bother me anyway; I was just miffed at Barclaycard stating clearly that the reason for reducing my limit is specifically "Too much borrowing elsewhere" which can be seen is a load of bull. Never mind.

According to your signature, you owe 2390. Perhaps they are comparing that figure to your salary?

Does Barclaycard know you were previously bankrupt? If so, maybe they consider 2390 debt quite high for someone who has been bankrupt.

Who knows. I'm sure you'll find a prime lender soon enough who'll want your business.

It doesn't matter. And no, they didn't see my Bankruptcy when I applied because they only searched EQ and it doesn't appear on my EQ file just EX.

And I've already got three prime cards! Barclaycard, Silver, and My World :p Don't need any more or anyone else I was just miffed at them suggesting 13.7% debt to income is high enough to justify a limit decrease when the acceptance criteria for their gold card is 40%...

    Meh.
