I'm going to pop to the council office and pay it, clearly stating I'm paying it under protest (as to not miss the 14 day discounted fine) then send in an appeal. :mad:We’ve had to remove your signature. I got a bloody parking ticket today because my wheel was sitting just over the line for a loading bay!I wouldn't be surprised mate, they approved me two months after I was discharged from bankruptcy, whilst living at home with mother and on JSA
My how things have changed in the last couple of years...
Natwest are really annoying me now, that online banking that was suspended a few months ago has been suspended again today. Bunch of clowns, I'm leaving these idiots as soon as I get my railcard for next year.
I'm now going to miss a credit card payment because I go away soon and won't be able to pay the Natwest payment in time  Better not get a £12 charge for their incompetence
Having fun with that online chat thing too, it's a real human, apparently... she kept telling me to reregister as I hold a debit card.... which part of "I'm suspended, it won't let me" won't she understand then!?!?0 -
Ouch, that's so harsh! Hope you get it wiped off!
They are dirty robbing bas*ards who'll burn in hell.:mad:
On the bright side, if I pay by credit card, I'll get some air miles and they'll get processing fees (I don't believe they pass the fees onto me). OR I may even pay it with my very large jar of 1p's and 2p's.We’ve had to remove your signature. Large jar of 1ps and 2ps sounds like a good idea!
I've just been on the phone to those online banking muppets, they recommend I get my laptop professionally checked.... I asked him if he knew what course I was doing at uni, computing.... so I was like so I don't need it checked, I haven't got a virus! And he was like "Well our system has detected it sir":mad::mad:0 -

Mate they will refuse it as non legal tender! Legal tender is something like £2 of small coppers afterwhich they can refuse to take it. In fact anyone can refuse any kind of payment, its up to them what they take!
Sorry, but that farmer thing where he tipped up with a barrowload of pennies and dumped them in the council office was not accurate - he later got charged to clean up and they were returned to him as non legal tender.... hehe - the law is a weird thing remember! :rotfl:2010 - year of the troll

Oh and Natpest's Credit Card services (the new thing) now work for students. We were banned from it before, I thought I'd try it after re-registering for online banking and it's gone through. Think Elky's got a Natpest card as a student?
I got into online banking too, this bloke deleted my old account, so it thought I was totally new, the other woman just left it suspended so I had to go via post, I'm in that instantly but need to wait 7-10 days to get my CC activation code.0 -

I know.. I've calculated how many coins I need for it to be legal.
5 x £1 £5
50 x 10p £5
50 x 20p £10
20 x 50p £10We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
