It doesn't matter. And no, they didn't see my Bankruptcy when I applied because they only searched EQ and it doesn't appear on my EQ file just EX.

And I've already got three prime cards! Barclaycard, Silver, and My World :p Don't need any more or anyone else I was just miffed at them suggesting 13.7% debt to income is high enough to justify a limit decrease when the acceptance criteria for their gold card is 40%...

    Meh.

Did not realize you have been made bankrupt b4 izools, don't know much about bankruptcy but i am surprised barclaycard, silver,my world excepted you..
Are you sure that bankruptcy has not come back to haunt you, like maybe it has popped up on their database somewhere..

Oh dear, Barclaycard do seem a strange bunch though. One minute it tells me I can get the lowest card then it tells me I can't!

I can see Natpest slashing my limit now I've got another new card, they already said I'm "never going to get more than [my] current limit", and I've taken nearly £500 more credit since they said that... with Vanquis that is possibly closer to £750... plus drained my 1k overdraft.... I think it's just a matter of time!! Can't see Aqua increasing my limit either! I imagine all of the cards I've got were given to me at a push, so having another is going to get them all worried?

Mmm yes this is why my credit cards are from card companies that search Equifax. My Equifax file is 100% spotless, the address at which my BR order and defaults were recorded against isn't linked and doesn't form part of my credit file any more as it's not my present or last address.

Unfortunately everything is linked and visible on my Experian file.

To be honest, if Barclaycard caught wind of my adverse they'd be writing to tell me "You aren't a customer any more, your card is repayment only, don't bother re-applying when it's clear" :p

The chap on the phone was adamant that the decision to reduce my limit was because of my credit balances elsewhere, not adverse information. I think the Insight / CAIS feeds that creditors get only contain information from your current address :)
    Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Evening everyone, on Experian my credit ratio says I'm using just 9%, now that is low, but the fact I have a lot of available credit can this be bad too? As mentioned before Vanquis has given me another thousand, then Choice catalogue have now increased my limit up to £2,300 and so have GUS. No way will I use these limits......

I haven't no, I read on here some time ago Sygma put CIFA's on files easily so put me off! My hubby has applied, but his credit is at around the 50% ratio. He got a standard we'll be in touch, he has nothing adverse at all, mind you he applied after office hours.
